Zach S, you bring up an interesting side question, namely, are the Para-Ordinances too different to be considered a true 1911 and thus eligable for consideration in this thread. Can a 1911 be double-stacked, double action, and hammerless.
I'm not a purist, although some ppl wouldnt, I still consider my Kimber Polymer a 1911, even though I cant change grips, not to mention the mags, mag catch, grip safety and trigger are different than a single stack, most parts still interchange and I think that JMB himself, along with any 1911 guy, wouldn't have a problem detail stripping it or a widebody single-action Para.

The LDA looks like a 1911, but thats about it, since only a few parts interchange and the action is totally different, I dont consider it a 1911.

Sig 220...

In fact a little exposure to one of these can make you wonder why you didn't put your consheller down and try one sooner.

LDA is a red headed step child and should be treated as such. :uhoh:

As well as any gun that has an External Extractor.

If God had ment guns to be made of plastic or aluminim He would have
had JMB make it that way. :neener:

No 1911s then I'd go with my Beretta 92F.

edited to add: Because I own no other pistols in 45ACP
