I'm not a purist, although some ppl wouldnt, I still consider my Kimber Polymer a 1911, even though I cant change grips, not to mention the mags, mag catch, grip safety and trigger are different than a single stack, most parts still interchange and I think that JMB himself, along with any 1911 guy, wouldn't have a problem detail stripping it or a widebody single-action Para.Zach S, you bring up an interesting side question, namely, are the Para-Ordinances too different to be considered a true 1911 and thus eligable for consideration in this thread. Can a 1911 be double-stacked, double action, and hammerless.
