First Glock

I own a gen3 G21 and it fits me just fine. I do have large hands, however, and it feels great to me. If I opt to CCW my g21 I use a shoulder holster, just my personal preference. As for a g20, I don't have any experience with them beyond .45 counterpart I own, but the 10mm auto is a proven cartilage and a hell of a powerful round. It will work fine for personal defense against critters, both 4 legged and 2, and there are many different bullet options to choose from. Good choice for a first Glock buy.

I love Glocks, and I tried desperately to get with a regular frame 21, it just wasn't going to happen. I have small hands and while it felt fine at the shop, I could not get good groups with one at the range. I ended up going with the M & P for a full sized .45. I would suggest you rent a regular frame 21 at a range and see how it fits before you commit. If it fits go for it.

With mine I replaced the guide rod with a stainless steel rod and 22lb spring. I shoot double tap 200gr hard cast through a lone wolf 6" stainless barrel. Deep penetration for the woods, not a good idea in urban areas.

Congratulations on the Glock 20. I have a Gen 4 20SF for a wilderness side arm. Overall a good choice.

Underwood is new to me. Thanks for the heads up.

For general use ammo I buy from these guys. 10mm ammo is cheaper than 45 from most places and great quality. These aren't full bore hot loads, but are a step up from most 10mm factory loads.

Right now they are out of stock on a lot of stuff like everyone else, but hopefully things will get back to normal soon. A good source when they do.

I've always been able to pick up what I needed at gunshows locally. Ordering my raise prices some, and take some time, but it is good ammo.

They also allow a credit on returned brass off your future purchases which also reduces costs.

I use DoubleTap 200 gr hardcast @1300 fps for serious stuff and have been very pleased. It matches or beats claimed speeds in my gun and is the hottest rounds I've found. Never used the Buffalo Bore or Underwood, but they look good if you want to shoot lighter bullets at full 10mm power.

X2 on range ammo from Georgia arms never had any issues with them. I love shooting my 20c

I'd suggest going to at least a 20# recoil spring. I also install aftermarket connectors in all my Glocks and polish all the mating surfaces of the firing mechanisms.

Also don't like the feel of nekked plastic in my hands, so I cover the plastic grip with Agrip or, more recently, Wilson Tennis racket overgrip.

I have "normal" hands and have no problem shooting my glock 21.Btw..nice choice with the 10mm!

The only glock I've ever owned....maybe the only one I'll ever own. I ended up selling mine because I didn't reload at the time and found someone that gave me to the dollar my money back (minus ammo costs LOL)

I am not a "Glock guy," but the G20 was my first Glock too.
I don't have a problem with the handle, it fit my hands well. It will fire anything I load into the magazine. I also use this as my camping/forest carry pistol. Not much help but enjoy.

In general, I prefer some of the newer autos to Glocks. However, Glock's biggest perk for me would be the ability to get them in a wider variety of calibers, both factory and aftermarket.

I would say Buffalo Bore or Double Tap like earlier posted. Heard some bad reports about Underwood. I have an old G29 and love it.
