Which caliber do you shoot the most?

.40 followed by 9mm and .45. In rifle, .223/5.56.

45LC. Most my shooting is cowboy action and practice. Load my own and cast my own 200 grain FP.
Hard to say whats second, 22lr or 45acp.

Easily, 9mm and 5.56.

As a kid, it was 22 only. Since getting back into firearms in my second childhood, I used to shoot 9s the most, then went to 38/357, & have been in 45acp mode for the last year or so. I still shoot the others, but most of my newer guns have been 45s, so i have shot them more.

I like the versatility of the 45acp, & the subsonic power it brings. You can plink with them, or load them up. Projectiles are easy to get, & you can vary from 180 to 230g (even more, but that's my variability). they are very accurate, & i have them in autos & revolvers, something i don't have in 38/357.

I got a new redhawk recently, & it can shoot 45acp or 45 colt, which makes it very fun & versatile. It is also the reason i've been shooting more 45 acp! ..have to try it out..

Between my SD and hunting guns .45acp by far followed by.380acp

I have 30 different calibers, but 9mm is by far what I shoot most often, own five 9mms (handguns) and go through about 10-12,000 rds a year. I think it's about to drastically increase because I bought a Colt AR6951 (9mm) this year and my wife and son enjoy shooting it.

In rifle it's .223 at a couple 1000 rds a year, this year a little more because I took a carbine class.

Luckily I reload......

.40 popularity really took a nosedive this year. I haven't seen a lot more guns for sale in that caliber but the ammo just sits around here for 25 cents a round. Think I should pick one up...

I don't check up on Houston often (armslist and texas gun trader I mean) but when I do it seems like most listings are asking 20% higher than everywhere else in the state for guns and ammo. Don't know why.

If you ever pass through central Texas check San Antonio and Austin listings, plenty available in bulk at 8-10 cents per round and occasionally under 5 cents per round if you're quick and lucky.

.44 spl and mag mainly. It's my hunting ccw and hd calibers. Not much it can't do. In fact it has done everything.

I shoot mostly .22lr, but I've cut back a bit on that because of the prices. Not that I'm going to run out anytime soon......for the last 10-15 years I'd pick up a brick every time I went to town......until it got hard to get AND expensive. As of my last inventory, I have .....let's just say.....enough to last for a good while!

9mm. My chosen defense pistol is the Glock 19/26. My chosen carbine is an AR15 in 5.56mm, but I have an identically configured 9mm AR15 I play with too. It is convenient for indoor ranges, recoils similarly to 5.56, and I like the convenience of mass-produces straight wall reloads vs bottleneck reloading.

The last 3 years I've shot more 38 special than any other round..real cheap to reload.

I would have said 45ACP. Had my first Garand range day yesterday. Pew pew pew pew pew pew pew pew PING!

Right now it's a toss up between .44 Special and .45 ACP.

For the last couple of years, 9mm has ruled the household for carry and range use. I love .45acp, but a review of my ammo logs show that we've shot about 3x as much 9mm each of the last three years. The wife and I both carry Shields over 90% of the time, and practice accordingly. Her second carry choice is a M&P 9C, mine a G26. Our "fun" range guns are RIA 1911 Tactical 9mms. Even my G23s have a 9mm conversion, and we also own a G34, a G17L, a G19, a SP2022, and a CZ 75B. Five years ago, we didn't own ANY 9mms...

If .22lr becomes more readily available, we'll shoot it more. We can shoot it in the back yard without issue.

I shoot mostly 9 mm because I have two 9 mm pistols. I have a .22 but I don't shoot it that often. Now, if like others I look at what I shot mostly in my lifetime it would probably be BBs or maybe 22 cal pellets.

I shoot mostly .22lr as far as round count goes. As for center fire, the top three would be.

1- 7.62x39 CZ 527 carbine, SKS
2- 38/357 Rossi 92, S&W model 10
3- 45acp Kimber custom tle II

9mm. IPSC allmost 3000 rounds a year.
.38 spc 800 rounds
.357 magnum 400
.223 500 rounds
7.65 mauser 300.
Competition shooting and training

I shoot a lot of 22. I used to do a lot of target shooting and practiced with 22s. Helps to have 22 versions of almost all of my target guns. I will still go the the range and warm up with 100 rounds of 22.

Mostly .38Spl/.357Mag. I have a Colt Python and I'd like to wear it out before I go to the big shooting range in the sky. So far, the revolver looks brand new.

I like the 45 and the feel of its recoil. I shoot 9 mm more often because it costs a considerable bit less.

For a long time the answer would have been .22LR, but in the last 4 or 5 years I have been shooting mostly 9mm or .357 reloads.

The only .22LR ammo I've bought in the last few years has been from the Internet (expensive) or picked up when I was out of state for one reason or another, usually at Cabela's in WA or ID. Buying on the Internet is usually not cost effective due to shipping cost and purchase limits.

Haven't seen a brick of .22 on the shelf here in over 2 years. A few 100 round boxes at $10 a box, but that's it. The few places that receive any .22 are sold out within minutes, long before I can get out of work and go grab a box. If availability ever improves, I will probably start shooting more .22 again.

I did pick up a .17HMR rifle which I can usually find ammo for locally, but it's not particularly inexpensive either. But hey, it was a good excuse to pick up another gun.......

So it's mostly centerfire handgun shooting these days. Working on wearing out my P85 and my wheelguns.

I watch the web closely and buy .22 LR by the case (5,000 rounds.) I shot a lot of .22 LR.

.22 would be the overall winner for me. However I voted .38/.357. The majority of my shooting is with a 442 and a Blackhawk. I have a ton of brass for these and they are inexpensive to reload. Don't shoot much during our brief summer as the Harley, kayak and bicycle take up most of my free time. Once deer bow season is over its back to the reloading bench and shooting several days a week.
