    Glock... Stick with 9mm or?

I will try to keep this relatively brief and somewhat coherent. First a bit of background My carry piece is a Glock 19. My backup is a S&W 442 with crimson trace laser-grips. I originally purchased the 442 because of the utility of being able to fire the pistol while still concealed in...

Savage or CZ for .308 long range precision rifle

Considering a range of about 500 yards or so, and given that i'm working with a budget, which of the following $650 rifles would you choose and why: a Savage 12 Low Profile Varminter with a stainless fluted 26" barrel in .308 with the accutrigger, a laminated wood stock and a 1 in 10 twist...

    CZ-550 question

I was wondering, since the actions on both the short action calibers and the long action calibers (non magnum) are the same length, could one conceiveably convert a short action cz-550 with the detachable magazine into a long action version of the CZ, by replacing the trigger guard, floor plate...

vssf and 700 p (pss) stock?

If anyone has them, can you post pictures of the stocks on the vssf and 700P or pss. I am torn between the two guns in .308 (discontinued in the vs sf), and I think the kicker will be the difference between the two HS precision stocks. Thank you.

    Ballistic gelatin test results : .45-70GOV >DERRINGER<

Good call on the vice, a 410 is bad enough. I can't imagine hating ones self enough to touch that thing off. There has got to be perminant nerve damage!

    Lama 1911

I had a llama .380, I liked it, except that it shot itself apart within 500 rounds. The frame was peened from the slide and the barrel had a hole worn into its top by the bushing. If the gun was done right, I'd still own one. I really did like it :(

No gunsmithing necissary mounts for old style S&W?

I have an excellent condition 60's era S&W 18 22lr which shoots like a laser, but my eyes aren't the greatest for the provided sights. I am hoping someone can direct me to a manufacturer of K frame S&W scope mounts which will fit without modification a 60's era, pre-drilled and tapped gun. Any...

    The 642 club

Snow was still on the ground when this evil post twisted my arm until I purchased a 442. This far down the line I still have no regrets. I'm even thinking of a pair of lasergrips (205 hard plastic style). Happy shooting all

    The 642 club

Wow, I thaught this thread was long when it convinced me to buy a 442 way back on page 30 something.. Long live the 642 club! PS, CDNN has some round to square butt conversion grips for J frames at less than 15 bucks. They really add to the controlability of this piece, and they don't look...

And so it starts ... HR 1022 ... to Reauthorize Fed AW Ban

Let me translate for you "we have to ban guns for the children" (translation: I am afraid of the "common" American citizen with a gun) I think mule was the correct term stated earlier in the post

Thanks for the pics Revolvergeek, That may be my next upgrade. I do have a question though. The model 60 looked like it had the rear sight channeled out to a U notch, Is that standard with XS dot installation?

    The 642 club

Thanks Nails, I was pretty shocked when I spotted them too. While I have to say shooting +p LHP bullets is a touch exilerating with these grips, I still think they are the greatest thing since bread came sliced. I was debating with myself wheather or not to get a Tyler "T" grip adaptor, and I...

    The 642 club

i've put about 400 rounds down range so far, and I have to say this is one fine gun. I picked up a pair of (I think) 60's era stocks for a song ($5) in the junk bin of the local gun shop. What do you think? (I think they add)

consider this notice, my application to the club (You were right Iggy, I never stood a chance...) I picked her up yesterday with a box of Remington LSWCHP +P and 500 unprimed brass. I picked up the rest of the trimmings to load them today, except I forgot that I only had 200 primers...
