10mm shooters - favorite self-defense load?

I don't have a beer keg to shoot but my sister is on the local police dept. and gave me her old vest. Man that kevlar is TOUGH! Totally unscientific also but man its fun to shoot. I "dig" out the bullets and check expansion on them.

FWIW, I have shot flak vests with 45ACP ball and it was stopped in the first few layers. 9mm cut straight through like the vest wasn't even there. The higher velocities of the 10mm should also aid in penetration through heavy clothing. I would love to see a full-house 10mm Ranger Talon load -- 165gr at 1350fps!!!

(I will admit that 45ACP HPs would have fared much better against the vest since the edges tend to cut the fabric.)
