I've tried a search but it's useless.

I'm interested in acquiring a 10mm pistol. I really would rather not buy another Glock (I have four) but I will unless there is something else tempting. Who makes a handgun chambered for 10mm?

Thanks for any info.

Sp armory and Tangfolio/Witness makes and sells 10mm handguns, at reasonable $$.

You may not want to buy another glock but it is your best bet for easy to find, and extremely reliable10MM.

Im very happy with my G20, although I am also eyeing a DW CBOB in 10mm for carry!

Whats wrong with a Glock 20 or 29? In my opinion, it is the BEST Glock of them all. There is no comparable other 10mm handgun out there that comes even close.

There is a 10mm thread sticky at the top of the handguns section.

Thanks for the replies. I think the Glock might well be the best bet all things considered. From what I'm reading the 10mm seems to be different enough from .357 Sig and .40 for me to consider.

The Tanfoglio/Witness Match in 10mm would be an amazing pistol. Mine is in .40 and is absolutely the most accurate pistol I own. I am considering one in 10mm for a hunting pistol also, at $429 from Schramms it's the deal of the century. I've had an older model for about 10 years and go my Match in August, so far with many hundreds of rounds through it no failures of any kind.

Normally I am a get what you pay for guy, but the Match is a true exception, it even outshoots my BHP Competition, which is no slouch of a gun.

Depends on how much you have to spend, but I'm waiting for delivery of a Wilson CQB in 10mm ($2300).

I also bought a Witness full size a few months back ($350). One thing, that Witness just shoots all day baby. It's a keeper. Even likes the full house loads just fine.

Delta Elite is kind of "must have" for 10mm owners.

$2300 is a good bit above my budget. I'm more comfortable in the $500 to $800 range, a grand at the far outside. I also like well cared for used guns, so that opens things up a bit.

After a little sniffing around the Glock 29 is looking good to me. It looks to be a more chunky version of my 36 or a beefed up version of my 33. I can live with that but it should be a handful!

I've heard the Witness is an excellent pistol but that EAA has horrid customer service (if one even would argue it exists at all). One of the Kimber 10mms, the Stainless Target II, resides in my safe; so far the majority of ammo I've put through it is the watered-down Federal AE & Blazer, with a box of Silvertips and some Remington UMCs. It handled them all just fine, though the real test will be when I start reloading for it and putting hotter loads through it on a regular basis. It was a bit pricey @ ~$950, but it's been a good gun. Next up is a DW Razorback...

Yeah, customer service is important. And I've got to say that the customer service that I've received from Glock has been absolutely incredible. They have gone so far out of their way for me. I just got off the phone with them and once again they are amazing. The G29 seems perfect, all things considered.

IMO the best 10mm platform was the S&W 1006, followed by the Witness 10mm and Colt Delta Elite.

IMO, Dan Wesson is making the nicest production 10mm of anyone right now... by a fair margin. DW just had a pretty significant price increase, like 100 bucks or more per gun, but you might still be able to find an RZ-10 at the "old" price. Even priced at a hundred dollars higher, I think the Dan Wesson guns are the best value in 1911s right now. We've had pretty much everybody's 1911 come through the shop in that last year or so, and in the very crowded "around $1000" price range, the Wessons win hands down.

I can vouch for the Witness Elite Match... feels great in the hand, shoots better the farther along I break it in... although I got a Wolff 22 lb. spring to cushion the recoil.

Had a S&W 1006 back in the early 90s, but with its flat backstrap, it hurt my wrist. I know it would have done better with the arched version.

Try to do a side-by-side comparison between the Witness and the Glock before you decide. The Glock's lighter weight might be better for extended carry, but there is something undeniably comforting about the Tanfoglio's all-steel heft.

Purchased my Blue Colt Delta Elite back in the mid 1990's NIB. First order of business was to dump the factory dual recoil spring/guide rod setup and replace with a Wilson 3.25 oz Tungsten one piece guide rod and Wolff 24lb recoil spring. Wolff markets heavier springs for the Delta if Super Heavy Loads are used. After several thousand rounds no peening of frame or any other issues!

GO COLT!

I bit the bullet and bought a G29 today. I've got to imagine this thing is a hand-cannon. When I bought my G36 I passed on the G30, but I've got that now and a lot more. I think I'm going to like this a lot. For $549 I'm pretty pleased as there weren't any others around, at least in local shops.

Can't wait to fire it.

I have a G-29 and love it :D it is very manageable but you may not want to shoot hot loads for very long, whats even better is you can change out the barrel and maybe the mags and you can shoot .40 or .357Sig :D

I realize you've already stated the Wilson is out of your price range but I'd like to chime in by saying I fondled one of the new WC CQBs in 10mm at the gun show last weekend and I was blown away! If felt, simply put, astonishing.

The question of course, remains as to whether or not a Wilson CQB 10mm is worth the price of a new DW RZ10 + an exellent condition Colt Delta Elite.
;)

For your budget, I'd suggest the Colt. Personally, I never enjoyed shooting Glocks in 10mm, but that's just me.

I don't have any experience with the Witness, so I can't comment there.

Glock 20 or Kimber, perhaps? An XD would beat them both, IMO

I just picked up the Wilson 10mm today at a gun show. I haven't shot it today, but maybe tomorrow.

As the owner of a Glock 20 & 29, a Delta Elite, 2 10mm Kimbers, a Razorback (S/N 51, I think) and an Ed Brown custom 10mm, I just couldn't resist the Wilson.

Of the 10mm's I've shot I like the Ed Brown best. It is smooth, accurate, and just a pleasure to shoot. But the G20, for 1/5 the price of the Brown, is my second choice. It seems to absorb the recoil of full loads better than the 1911-style pistols and it functions flawlessly after at least 10,000 rounds. For a reasonably priced 1911-style 10mm I'll go with the Kimber. I've shot a couple thousand rounds through it with no issues.

I'm very happy to see Wilson 10mm mags, too. I've got a bunch of Colts, some Kimbers, some Chip McCormicks and a few more exotic brands...all of which often fail to lock back the slide on my various 1911-style pistols. My best results have been with Mec-Gars. But I'll be bringing a bunch of 10mm's to the range to see how the Wilson mags work.

One last point...if only Springfield would make a 10mm XD it would be a great pistol. Hi-cap with a small grip and good ergonomics and a good price.

Oh my, if Springer made a 10MM XD I'd be buying one in a heart beat.

I had a 1006 for many years but have since went to the G20 as my favorite 10MM. Alot easier to carry on the hip all day than the 1006 for sure. The G20 is more accurate too.

G29 is next on the list for me but darn, if a Springer XD-10 came out I'd be stoked for sure!
