Need to load up some RN's for my lever. I have 4831, XBR 8208 and H335 in stock. I will be loading Hornady 150gr RN interlock. Look out piggies here I come!

I see on the front of my H335 bottle that it says 33.0 grains for 30-30. According to their online charts, 33.0 is the max? Anyone had any experience with this load for 150 grain RN? Thanks

I have had very good results with xbr 8208 in my 30-30 Win. with 150 and 170gr jacketed RN.

I only have experience with H335 and with 110 gr fmj at that. It works pretty good. Before the madness I found some M1 Carbine projectiles on sale.

When testing my loads with the factory sights the best would hold about 2.5” for 4 shots. I have some 150 gr RN but haven’t loaded any yet. I’ll try H335 or LEVERevolution, whichever I can find first.

8208 is good.
I've never used h335.
4831 is too slow unless you're running cast bullets.

I was using H4831 with cast in my .348WCF, because that was what I used with jacketed... it was horrible. Muzzle blast, poor ballistics. I switched to IMR3031, and not only did I save powder per charge, I picked up velocity (in my 20" barrel,) accuracy was the same or better, and I didn't get hateful stares. I just think it's too slow of a powder for that application.

I agree.
I was just saying it was really only acceptable with cast bullets. It is totally out of place with jacketed and 30-30.

Marlin or Winchester? 30.3gr XBR or 30.5gr. 335. Don't forget the Marlin's Microgroove rifling prefers a longer-burning powder and may prefer XBR. That Hornady interlock's a good deer bullet but I've never used it on pigs. They have that hardened cartilage along the shoulder ridge that lighter bullets tend to break up in. Go for the lung shot.
