300 win mag, 338 win mag, 375 Ruger: Recoil and Balistics

Sounds Good, So I'm leaning towards the 375 Ruger. I'll still keep my 300wm (it has a good recoil pad, and I have no trouble with it as long as I keep good shooting position behind the gun)
What I need to know is:
will the 375 Ruger be as likely as a 300 Win Mag to jump back and bite me in the face, like how a lot of folks (myself included) have gotten cuts and bloody noses from the scope coming back into their eyebrow or nose???

Or, if i'm shooting 375 from a tree stand ( i often use a tripod that has no solid tree behind it and hunt with a 308 or Savage 220 slug gun w/ 0 problems) will the 375 recoil like knock me out of the stand? Or is it really not that big of a jump in recoil from a 300 wm, especially with a muzl brk ?

300wm delivers about 50% less energy than the .375, and comes back alot less. If you get wacked by a .300, your gonna get wacked by a .375

I've never gotten smacked by a scope, almost caught a Mossberg 500 in the face, but not a scope. I've been knocked out of a tree by a 500 also.
My .375 will knock me off balance if I'm unstable, it's not a gun I'd shoot when really out of position.

Ok, so crazy as this may have been, I drank the Kool aid and bought the 375 Ruger Guide Gun.

Earlier you guys were saying the 375 was less felt recoil than 300wm, now I m reading similar folks saying I'm far more likely to get smacked in the fAce or knocked out of a tree stand with the 375. What happened to the gentle tease of " don't worry about the math the felt recoil isn't as harsh"?

Well at least I fed my jonesing for the guide gun. Now IllI' take my turn on the street corner asking for spare change to buy ammo and Band-Aids.
But seriously folks what do you recommend 4 posturing and positioning to safely handle this round?
And what type of scope would you recommend? Keep in mind I do not intend to hunt dangerous game in Africa so I'm not looking for an extremely low Power Scope I want to hunt medium and large game out to about 400 yards, that said I guess I want something with serious eye relief. Or am I getting more worried about recoil management that I need to be?

Lol - I’m sorry if you were mislead. I certainly wouldn’t have sipped that particular koolaid. A properly weighted 375 Ruger or H&H isn’t terribly brutal, and often sporter weight 300’s can be such, and the 375’s impulse is much longer and less sharp, but it’s a far more powerful rifle - it’s gonna have more substantial recoil.

It's a big push, not a sharp crack. I've never had my 375 bite me. Ever. I've shot rifles from .22 to .470 Nitro Express. The worst recoil I ever felt is a tie between a light weight 30-06 and my 7 lbs 45-70 Guide Gun shooting hot loads. The 375 has more recoil, but that impulse is delivered over a longer time so it feels like a shove. Very easy to manage.

Recoil doesn't hurt from a .375, least in my experience, but getting wacked by a scope usually has to do (again in my experience, having watched it happen more than once) more with how a persons rifle fits, how they hold it, and how they move with recoil.

I've never gotten wacked by a scope, but I don't soak up fast recoil real well either.
Couple shots with a 300WM and I'm done, one shot from a .338 lapua my buddy built on a 700 killed that want for me. Same for his .338ultra.
That guy eats recoil no problem, rifles dont seem to rise as much on him either. Hes got a .458 that he's not a fan of tho, where as I'd much rather shoot that than his ultra.
