Who besides Ruger makes 44 Magnum single action revolvers?

EAA claims to market them but I've never seen one for sale.

Who else?

Freedom Arms. Probably the best in the business and priced that way, too.

They and Ruger are the only ones I know of, personally.

Given they are one of the top SA out there, why look for another brand?
The FA are great and basically hand made, but priced to match.

As big of a Ruger fan as I am, I'd also say for the best, Freedom Arms is the way to go. many don't want to go that route due to the price, but hey, you get what you pay for with them.

Freedom Arms guns are fitted like almost nothing else out there. You know how you initially don't see the sideplate on a Smith and Wesson unless you know it's there? The whole gun fits like that.

That said, you can get two stainless Super Blackhawks, and pu them in a custom double holster rig studded with semiprecious stones set in silver, all for the price of a Freedom Arms. And the Super Blackhawk is a good revolver.

Depends what you want.:)

Well, I originally asked the question because I was looking for a cheap beater gun. An alternative to my 629-6.

The Freedom 44 Mag will have to wait.:)

Blue guns look like crap if they're used with any regularity. Therefore, there are many cosmetically-challenged Super Blackhawks around. The guns have been made for well over a half century.

Be patient; look around. Super Blackhawks, especially in "beater" condition, can be had for under 300 bucks. They still shoot great; they just have worn blue. VERY worn, some of them.:)

Hell, my used stainless SBH cost me $285, and being stainless, it still looks great, too.

Patience.
