I run 9mm hornady tap fpd 124 grain. I recently switched from 45 to 9mm and I'm happy with it. 16 in a glock 19, spare mag with 15 and 2 mags in the truck...one of which is fmj.

I honestly hope that if the guy I need to be shooting at is hunkered down and not coming out...I have time to backtrack and get out.
What's the difference between Hornady TAP 9mm and Hornady 9mm Critical Defense?

No specific order; it's listed by weight then it's alphabetized.

If it's not on the list, it's not an acceptable self defense round.
I don't see the Winchester Ranger 9mm 127 grain +P+ on that list.
I did find some Black Talons for sale in 9mm 147 grain and 40 cal ranger Talon 165 grain HP. But none of these are on the above list.

I found some .40 180 grain Federal HST 50 pack for sale for $34.95.

If you go back and check, I stated that the rounds I posted were the proven rounds in .40 S&W.

Any specs. on the .38 special +P? , in Federal brand HST? That's if Federal makes this verison in .38 spc.
Or Winchester brand .40?

Would any of this change if youre looking to shoot through barricades as well as hazmat suits (clearly, the most likely scenario)? This is what I'm looking to train for

Detonics, Do you really believe there is enough difference between Federal HST and Corbon to justify $150 bucks for 100? If you can get a proven round like the HST or Gold Dot for half the price, is it necessary?

The difference betwen premium hollow points like the Gold Dot, HST, Ranger, and Corbon is slight at best. It is extremely hard to justify paying double for what amounts to less than double the performance.

They weren't hit in a mortal spot that also causes instant "lights out." No surprise there. Ditto with any handgun or rifle round.

Still . . . I wouldn't want to be shot even by a lowly .22CB . . . you never know . . .
