I just wish people would stop calling me a hoarder,,,
I just wish people would stop calling me a hoarder,,,
I'm simply a person who went the entire summer of 2009,,,
Limiting myself to a single-shot rifle and 25 rounds of .22 per range trip,,,
All because there was absolutely no .22 ammo to be found in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
So after ammunition started coming back to the stores,,,
I swore that would not ever happen to me again,,,
Every time I hit Wal-Mart with extra cash,,,
I bought another 550 round bulk pack,,,
I advised my friends to do the same.
It's not like I was depriving anyone of their opportunity to buy ammunition,,,
When I was buying 3-5 bulk packs a month there was plenty,,,
Wal Mart had not yet imposed the arbitrary limits,,,
All I did was use my disposable cash wisely.
I have been able to go shooting as much as I want this summer,,,
And I have turned some close friends on to some as well,,,
I even donated some packs to the local 4-H clubs,,,
It wasn't the kids fault they had no ammo.
It's not hoarding,,,
It's assessing your future needs,,,
And acquiring a "bench stock" level to meet them.
I was the ant,,,
Not the grasshopper.
