Tuesday morning while we were hunting my wife suffered a cerebral hemmorage (sp?) and was airlifted to a hospital in Northern Virgina. To keep the story short, with a lot of prayer, and the Lord's help, she came through the emergency surgery, and out of the (drug induced) coma a couple of days ago. It looks like she's going to pull through and be OK. Praise be to God!!

Yesterday, to stir her up, I told her "I swiped your Glock (19) from you, and I'm carrying it now." She opened one eye, and glared at me as only Misty can do, and said "And who told you, you could use MY Glock?" I said "I didn't ask anybody. I just took it from your purse and got the holster for it, and I'm carrying it." She cut me as dirty a look as I've ever seen, and said "You put my Glock back where it belongs. You've got your own guns." And she fell back asleep.

:what: :D :p

She's gonna be ok I think.

I don't even know her and I'm in love with her.....

If only my wife were that firm in her gun beleifs. You're a lucky man, may she fully recover and coincidentally forget every stupid thing you've ever done. :D

lol A good way to check on someone is to see just what will piss them off, if he can throw things at us he might just be ok as one of my friends would say :]

your wife sounds awesome, glad to hear she is OK

hope she keep's on feeling better,:) you better put her glock back, because when she on her feet you might be in trouble:eek:

Wow! She sounds like a remarkable woman. Of course, she'd be an even better woman if she said, "That's ok honey, you can use my Glock whenever you want. As a matter of fact, you can just keep it for good. I'll get another gun"

I hope everything goes well got her and you. I'll keep her recovery in my prayers.

It is very good to hear that she is feeling well enough to be feisty. I pray she'll fully recover soon. She does sound like a good woman!

What a thread! What a lady! That's great. I'm glad to hear all turned out well. We never know how much time we have on this earth, and so I live every day as though it's my last.

Here's to many, many more quality years together!

Glad to hear your special other is getting well.

Sounds like a wonderful woman.

Look?

I've never had a wife,my own,or anybody else's...
What is this look you speak of?
Glad she's getting better, she sound like a good one...

Thank God! I just said a prayer for your wife. Like... a real one. And I'm SURE God is listening.
Good luck man! Good to hear that there are still supportive loving husbands out there!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery to both of you. Put the Glock back where it belongs, tell her you did while holding her hand, and stand by for the smile.
So glad she's doing well. A man who has a wife to hunt with is truly blessed.

Glad to hear your wife is getting better; I hope her recovery is complete. After all, we men deserve all of the looks the women can muster up. Guns are just one of many causes on a loooong list that earns me the look.

Dude give her Glock back to it's safety storage place!

YOu don't want to cause her to have another hemmorage do you?

Prayers to you and your wife...

I know the "look". I get it every time I mention buying another gun. I'll show her one on gunbroker, and "it's ugly". Then while out and about I'll take her to Gander Mtn or one of the local shops and she gets to hold it and see it up close and personal, then it's all ok, except for the AR's, she has some deep embedded hatred for those for some reason, but she's ok with the ak's.

Sounds like a strong woman. I'm familiar with the type. Uh huh. My wife often hugs me in such a manner that she can check if I'm carrying. At least, that's what I thought she was doing. Until I got the hug one day, and got The Look. It was followed by "go put it back Right Now."

And it dawned on me that she wasn't checking IF I was carrying. She was checking WHAT I was carrying.
