Anyone Else CCW a full size?

I carry a Gov't size CQB all the time.

I carried a SIG P226 for years in a Kramer Thompson Perfectionist IWB, then I carried a SIG P229 in a Kramer IWB #2 for about 5 more years, now I carry a SIG P230 in a Kramer IWB 1 1/2 IWB. I have taken to lighter guns as I get older. In case you didn't notice all my holsters are Kramer. I think they are the best. I stay with an IWB because in Florida it is a light clothing area.

Yep.. I carried a full sized 1911 for several years. Occasionally I would carry a G17. However, I just switched to a Ruger SP101 .357 2 1/4" barrel. Carrying a full sized sidearm absolutely CAN be done successfully. However like someone mentioned, I got tired of noticing it. When on duty, I have to carry full sized (SIG) and an assortment of web gear etc., on my off days it's nice to feel like I'm off. Good shooting!

Since 1972. The pieces varied over the first few years; LW Commander, M28 S&W, M19 S&W, and Ruger DA 4" .357 since 1980. Not a problem in proper leather and I have never been 'made'.

When things get 'interesting' the big gun is much more comforting for the power, controllability, and familiarity.

I know I had posted that I am waiting for my Don Hume IWB for my Ruger P90, but for the last couple of days I have ben carrying it in a Fobus paddle holster. No problems.

I carry a full sized 1911. To be more specific it is a Kimber Custom, and I carry it IWB. It has gotten to the point that is comfortable and doesn't print.

ASA I can find a low riding(which I prefer) IWB for my G20, that's the CCW I'll most likely to be using.

Pretty much carry a full size exclusively though I have flirted with a G29/G30 from time to time.

Sig 226 in a High Noon Softie. I have no problem if I wear anything even remotely loose. I pay attention when I sit down as it tends to push the gun back at an angle a little more , but that's it.

A 1911 IWB is no big deal with a strong belt and a good holster... flat is where it is at.

It's one of those generic "reversible" nylon kind with the spare mag holder in front. The name escapes me but it cost around $20. I sometimes wear it on the belt but dont like the amount of play in the belt loop.

I carry a CZ-75 in either a Blade-Tech belt rig or a Comp-Tac Ghurka IWB. It can be done, just expect to have to make some dress alterations. Having an easier-to-shoot gun makes it worth it, for me at least.
