Anyone else keep their guns?

I pretty much buy and sell everything else but guns. I just got my first gun and don't really plan on selling anymore that I get. That's why I've only been looking for good deals. Used is where I shop. Hoping to pick up two 22 rifles so me and my dad can squirrel hunt together. My dad wants to retire his 6mm to. More shopping.

Thus far I have bought close to 20 guns and I've sold three. The first gun I sold I sold to buy a motorcycle. (stupid, should have kept the gun) The second and third I had to sell to pay for for ticket(s) I got on the motorcycle.

I still miss those guns, after that I told myself I wouldn't sell anymore guns. Unless it was an absolute emergency.

I won't sell or trade any of my guns....EVER. I am a hoarder and a collector, I have enough problems throwing out published magazines that I buy, I certainly can't get rid of my guns.

I've sold 2 long guns and 2 handguns...The long guns were GREAT guns and I wish I could have kept them, but they had to be sold for personal reasons. One of the handguns I do not regret selling, but the other one I definitely regret selling; hell it's the only sale I keep kicking myself for selling, I could have easily kept it and been fine to this day! :banghead:

I think about the other 3 all the time and it bums me out, I really miss them. :(

If only I were rich, I would never go through the pain of having to sell a gun EVER AGAIN!

I've never sold a gun and probably never will. Even the ones I don't shoot anymore I consider collectable, even if it is only in my own mind. For example, my 1925 Izhevsk M91/30 in excellent condition and matching serial #s is only worth the $125 I paid for it, but I wouldn't ever get rid of it.

I've been trading up for the past 2 years but have reached a point where I'm satisfied with what I have so that is likely to change. I tend to hang on tight to my older wheel guns. For the past 2 years I almost feel like I've simply been renting the others. I wouldn't mind having a nice 1911. Then I think I'm through.

Buying guns is like going out with women - even in my bar hopping days I'm proud to say I never once went to bed with an ugly woman.

Woke up with a few though.

So occasionally when the number of guns has outgrown the available space (Yes, again!) I sell off a few.

Well I've never worn a gun out, burned a barrel or had any reason to need to sell one. So I've continued to have a growing collection that will likely never get sold or traded.
