Okay. Here is the match.

You can find the target here

Rules:

This match will be done from offhand, except in the Rifle Supported class.

The distance will be 25 yards, or the closest there is at your range.

Slings aren't allowed.

You get 10 shots on the ram.

Scoring:
You get 5 points for any hit on the ram, and 10 for any hit inside the bullseye. Any shot that breaks the line of the bullseye counts as inside. Likewise, any shot that touches the ram silhouette counts as on the ram.

Classes:

There will be four classes.

Open Rimfire: Any rimfire rifle.

Open Centerfire: Any centerfire rifle.

Rifle Supported: Any rifle shot from a bench.

Other: Handguns, shotguns, muzzleloaders, SMGs, anything that doesn't fit in the other two classes.

You're allowed one entry per class. You can shoot one and only one target for each class.

Okay, that covers it I guess. Please get out and shoot the match!

griz: The whole circle, white, black and red rings are the bullseye.

Hoser: Offhand, as in standing, only except for Rifle Supported class. In Rifle Supported class, shoot off a bench with a rest/bags.

Don't it grate on ya just a little when someone else uses your rifle & ammo and shoots it better than you do? :D

My scanner apparently took the day off too so I'll see what I can do about getting it back up to post the targets.

DANG IT!!!!!!!!!! Just found out Hurricane Charley blew away my gun range. :cuss:

Looks Like I might be sitting this month and maybe a few more out. :(

Good Luck, gentlemen.

I went home a little earlier today, thought I could take the chance to call a gunsmith in my vicinity to aks for 17+2 Glock magazines, managed to print the targets before I left home, ended up spending way more money than I intended with just one new magazine and a set of Mepros on my Glock. Found a way around the largest part of the usual Friday afternoon traffic jam and made it to the range before last light.
Here are my results:

Name: T.Stahl
Class: Open Centerfire
Weapon: Enfield No.4, iron sights
Distance: 50m
Score: four shots inside the outline, two in the bullseye, six misses = 30 points

Name: T.Stahl
Class: Other - handgun
Weapon: Glock 17L, iron sights
Distance: 25m
Score: six shots inside the outline, three breaking the bullseye, four misses = 45 points

T. Stahl: I noticed you have 12 shots on the first target and 13 on the next target. To match shooters: please remember that you only shoot 10 shots! Misses count as shots, 10 means 10 total, not 10 on the target.

I think T.Stahl did shoot the match correctly, he just reported the results in a strange way. The number of shots reported "inside the outline" include shots that are in the bullseye and then bullseyes are called out. The score works out right and I think he did shoot the proper 10 rounds.

Sometimes, I just don't pay attention. I read "off-hand" and thought "single-hand". Big difference.

Anyway, I did it.

Robert J. McElwain
Other: Ruger Mark II .22 cal. iron sights.
Single-Handed :banghead:
25 Yds
Score: 45 (7 hits, 1 bullseye)

A good challenge.

Bob

Fired "other" on the way home with a surplus .45 tuned hardball gun (don't ask about the finish!) shooting some 200-gr H&G 68s, full 25 yards.

All 10 on the ram, seven in the bullseye, two hitting the center dot. Comes to 85 if I have it right.

I fired two sighers below the target, adjusted sights, then shot it all two-handed and standing out in the open.

Rifle score(s) next weekend maybe.

Dad and I went out today and shot with some friends. Here's the scores.

Little Loudmouth and I closed out the month by going to the range this morning.
He shot in Open Rimfire Class.
The rifle was a Ruger 10/22 with a .920 barrel, a Hogue Overmolded stock and a 3-9 power Tasco scope. Wolf Match Target .22 ammo.
He scored 60 points. Two misses, four in the bullseye and four inside the ram's outline.

I shot in Open Centerfire.
The rifle was my M1A in .308 with peep sights.
Ammo was my reloads with surplus 147 grain Winchester boat tails, H4895 powder, and military cases.
