Just purchased but have not used in the field as yet Powder Incs. cap and ball loader. The brass jags supplied are for 36 and 44 round ball and as such deform the more pointed conical and round nose bullets I was hoping to try in the 1860 and ROA.
Would seem to be a simple matter of shaping a brass rod to fit any profile of bullet but I have no expertise or equipment for this.
Anybody here have this loader and does anyone know of someone who would make such a jag using a sample bullet. Tried the supplier of the press but currently they have only the style of jag they supply with the loader.
I use scrounged lead for casting and as such some of my projectiles seem a bit hard and require an extra effort to seat.
