Beretta 92 owners?

Accurate, rugged and easy to shoot, but a little large for concealed carry. My favorite 9mm.

Loved mine- a super smooth pistol. I parted with it, though, because the large grip made the trigger reach too long for my short fingers.

I have the 92 in stainless. Heavy, large, powerful, dead accurate. It is my all time favorite 9 mm. Field strips in a couple of seconds. Accuracy is not effected by running dozens of mags of ammo through till it is nice and hot.
I love that gun!
Second to my 1911...(!)

I carried one on duty and off duty for over 12 years. Great pistol just a little bit large for concealed carry. Great trigger pulls for a double single action. If you have small hands this is not the gun for you. Except my daughter how is bearly 5"03" tall and 16 years of age claimed one. She loves it even though it is two large for her hands. She shoots it very well. She decided when she graduates HS she wants an smaller Beretta for her grad. gift. LOL.. Good kit.

Beretta 92 FS Inox. Easy to strip clean. No wait. Make that EASY to strip and clean. Accurate. Controllable and reliable as can be. It is a chunky piece of hardware but well balanced. And while the grips are large for my smallish hands I like the way they give me something to hang onto.

GOOD GUN.

Yep, what he said. I own SIGs, CZs, & HKs, all in 9MM and that 92fs Inox is my favorite, next to my Inox Cougar that is! Great shooter, cheap mags and cheap ammo!

Accurate, large, heavy sums up mine. I've got about 150 rounds through it so far, but it looks like it'll be reliable based on the feed angle, etc.

Of ALL my guns, I consider my Beretta the most reliable and accurate gun I have. -AND it feels great in my hand.

I LOVED the way the regular size 92FS shot. It was too big for my hands though. The 92 Vertec works great for me. Same feel... same gun really as the fullsize except for the smaller grip. Still have 16 rounds.

My favorite pistol (of all the ones I have ever tried.)

I own 2 92's, it's one of the best 9mm's out there, smooth accurate and reliable. It's a little large for CCW but great for service or HD :)

I've got 2...a Centurion and an Inox, both made in 1992 and have been great to shoot, recommend them highly! :D

"Any opinions on Beretta's 92 series pistols?"

Boy! That is an open ended question! You should do a search here and I am sure you will find volumes of opinions about the Beretta as well as other good 9mms.

Since I am already taking the time to post a reply, I will just say that my Beretta 92fs has never jammed and it is the gun I keep loaded for home defense. That is high praise because I have had a LOT of handguns and I still have a bunch to choose from. I choose the Beretta over everything else I have.

Beretta M9 ( one of 5000 put out in 1998 to celebrate the 10 year anniversary)

Thousands of rounds-No problem.

I have never shot a gun that I trust more than this one to function, and to be accurate.

Easy as pie to work on, I am an armorer and with little patience and some 1500 grit sandpaper, I did my own trigger job.

I just got an 92G Elite 2. Shoots nice groups, but it's a big gun for small to medium sized hands. No problems with mine.

What feed angle? :neener:

I have an Inox "United we stand" commemorative model and I love it, will never part. I find my Baby Eagle to be a slightly better shooter all-around, but the Beretta is just fine. Accuracy is slightly lacking (cannot do better than 4" @ 5o feet), but plenty good for a combat auto (the Baby Eagle will do 2.5" @ 50 ft.). I own several Beretta's (Neos 6" Inox, 950 BS .25, 84 FS Inox .380, 9000S/F 9mm, 92 FS Inox, Polished Nickel Stampede .45c, Cx4 Storm 9mm) and love them all.

Big for it's capacity and power, prone to locking block breakage at least in some guns that are fired heavily.

Easy to field strip, they look cool, and they seem to be very reliable. Also very easy to rack the slide too if that is an issue for some.

I have a Beretta M9.
Not my favorite handgun, not my most accurate handgun, and the design could definately stand some modernization but as long as the Military has selected it as the issue handgun I will keep one around.
All in all, they aren't bad handguns at all.

I have the Beretta 92 D Centurion. It's has the 4.3 inch barrel I think which makes it roughly the size of the Glock 17. It's accurate and takes the high cap mags, & is jam free. That's about all I want in 9mm auto and it fills the bill nicely! I do like a 92 of this size much better than the full size version and I also prefer its DAO to having to deal with the regular guns safety. JMO as every one has their own. :)

Random somewhat related question:

The word for "Stainless Steel" in at least Italian and Spanish (I've seen it on a few websites) is "Inox". Is that pronounced "EYE-nox" or "IN-ox"?

Knowing my luck, it'll be something weird like "EE-nucks" or some similar brand of sheer madness.

Very good pistol and extremely reliable. I really like the gun. If I were to carry a 9mm on a regular basis, this is the one I'd choose.

beretta

I'm slowly beginning to understand what a fine weapon the Beretta 92 is. It's dead reliable (0 malfunctions), dead accurate (can keep all shots in 10 ring on good day 25 yards), nice trigger, smooth action, and as an added bonus: a very handsome gun!

If you do buy the 92, do yourself a favor a buy a set of checkered cocobolo grips to it ;)
