My worst suprises were two Sig 220 .45acp handguns, one with American magazine release and one with European magazine release.
Neither pistol lived up to all the claims I had heard about 220 pistols being extremely accurate.
Actually neither handgun was what I would call accurate, both shot way low and no smaller than 4" groups at 25 meters plus neither pistol would lock the slide back on an empty magazine with any certainty.
Sometimes they would, most times they wouldn't, and try as I might I could not locate any problem that may have caused this.
My most pleasant suprise came with my Smith and Wesson Model 41 and my K-22.
Both are much more accurate than I expected them to be and when fed the right ammunition they are far more reliable than I expected them to be.
