Best Inexpensive Gun You Own or Used to Own

I would say my 5 inch bullbarrel Ruger MKII .22 LR was excellent value for the price.

About $185.00 and it's a real tackdriver.

The next cheapest guns I have are a pair of USP Compact .45's, great guns and i got them for about $200.00 each less than the going rate.

Some of you guys have a weird idea about inexpensive

My best was the Pheonix HP22 that I paid $79 for NIB along with the 5 inch barrel and extra mag for $29. Never failed, was more accurate than it had any right to be. Should have never let it go. :(

Best one I have now is the .308 Striker with a 2-6X Bushnell scope I bought for $260 at the last gunshow I went to. Can't find a load that won't shoot MOA in that thing.

Best new gun, Ruger MKII. Less than $200 and it will outshoot an average Ruger 10/22.

Best used, Star BM. Paid about $150 for it and it is the most accurate 9mm I have ever owned. I have owned some nice 9mms since they are my favorite cal but the Star BM has match like accuracy!

$90 for a snubby model 10.

Externally : rode hard and put up wet. Stocks were "busted flat in Baton Rogue".
Internally: pristine and smooth as butter.

Needed a good home , some attention, didn't mind a set of hand-me-down stocks , and really enjoyed getting carried and exercised. :)

Kel-Tec P-11 for $190. great little gun. also got a Winny '94 .30-30 with a scope for $200. i feel i got great deals on both. both bought from THR members.

In handguns its a 380 cal FEG Pa-63 for $100.

In rifles it's the Savage 110B I bought from my brother with a Leupold 4x gold ring scope for $100, I gave him back the rifle, I kept the scope :D

Yethir, Yethir, I *AM* the king of cheep..

Hmmm. "inexpensive".....

Does this count? My second gun was a Remington Rand 1911; I got it for fixing a gate for the next door neighbor of my best friend's parents. She'd inherited the gun from her father, and was afraid of it and her teenage son's curiousity. I didn't even know her name. I was just helping fix a window, and next door, the gate fell down, and she was struggling to keep her Doberman inside the perimeter. I bought her a hinge from the hardware store (I had to go for the window job anyway) and installed it, and during our 'get acquainted' conversation the topic went from German dogs to the German army to WWII to handguns somehow. (hey, let's hear it for free-flow thought....)

I paid for the hinge and the 4 screws.....I figure that pistol cost me 89 cents, if I recall. Sorry, CareBear. :) I've always called it a "free" 'gift', but I suppose, legally, I "bartered" for it.... :p

Hi-Point 9mm compact for $109. I don't care what anyone says, I like it.

Second place goes to Bersa 380 for $200. Good little gun.

Curses! Foiled again! :banghead:

Another vote for the Iver Johnson TP-22, mine cost $114 when they
first landed on the scene. Later, it was stolen in a car-jacking of my
wifes vechile. So, if you happen to run across a TP-22 was serial
number AE 23221; its a STOLEN weapon. Bessemer Alaabama PD
holds a stolen report on this firearm.

Best Wishes,

About seven months ago I bought a 357 Mag 4" S&W Model 13 in 98-99% with a holster and a coffee can of ammo for $100.00. A gentleman I work with said he thought it kicked too hard and didn't want it, asked me if I would take it of his hands. Being the kind fellow I am......... :D

Marshall: You suck. ;)

My best deal on an inexpensive handgun is my Bulgarian Makarov which cost me $125 OTD.

I would have to call it a toss up between three good ones; a full size Witness, Taurus 945, and a Star Firestar. All of these guns were chambered for .45 acp. The Witness was incredible accurate and had a great trigger, in fact the best for a double action auto. The Taurus was unbelieveably reliable. Finally, the Firestar was more accurate and reliable than such a small pistol should have been. I had bought all three of these pistols to just add to my collection, little did I know what gems they would prove to be.
