I have used around 3000 rounds of CCI Blazer aluminum cased .357 mag ammunition in my GP100. My most recent trip one of the spent rounds was difficult to eject. Closer inspection revealed that the side of the case had experienced a blow out. :scrutiny:

Just fyi for those of you out there that use this ammunition.

No, the primer has of course been fired but there were no piercings. Note that the rear of the pic is out of focus a bit.

The smudge around the blow out is powder burn. The pic was not taken the same day as the event. I've yet to see any corroded aluminum cased ammunition. This particular round looked no different than any of the other 150 rounds fired that day.

I would write them explaining what happened and send along the pics you posted. Keep your letter polite and professional. I would be surprised if you didn't at least receive a box of ammo free of charge. I recently had an issue with Remington UMC ammo and they went above and beyond to make me happy. As a result of their customer relations dept. I will definitely continue to ues their ammunition.
