Well, then the Hulk is effectively invincible. So neither the Cap'n nor MC could kill him.
Well, you're right in that. Cap has only fought him and "beat" isn't really the right word. In the Ultimates (the last fight I can remember of Cap vs. Hulk), which is admittedly not 616 Cap/Hulk, Cap only managed to get the Hulk to revert to Banner from much, much help from the rest of the Ultimates (Avengers). But he was the one who really went toe-to-toe with him. The only one who could, really.

The Battle Rifle I like because I'm a purist. I like getting into character. I got Halo1 at release of the Xbox and layed the whole game with AR. I didn't realize that plasma brought down elite shields much more efficiently until a second play through. I was supposed to be some Spartan...it didn't feel right to drop my AR for some alien gun... :) When H2 came out with the Battle Rifle...now I was playing "for real.." not spraying everything, but bursts into heads...

Yes. Link always wins. Always.

Now regular Marvel Universe Captain America never used guns because he didn't like them for whatever reason,in fact he didn't even like to kill which is how he got sent to the future when the Red Skull gained the full power of the Cosmic Cube *snort* *adjusts glasses*... But Ultimate Cap uses them as necessary and as you other nerds pointed out,he also uses whatever other tools he has handy. But then Hulk, despite being the strongest there is (ever) used Cap's shield to slice off Captain Jihad's arm in the last issue of Ultimates. Sweet. BTW Ultimate Hulk walked away from a hydrogen bomb.

Wow. I'm a dork.

Regular Marvel 616 Captain America was initially issued a 1911 in WWII. And IIRC routinely picked up any other allied (i guess Axis, too) weaponry. But he found his shield to be as effective at those ranges and in the style he was fighting.

oh. my. deity of your choice. i just made the thread cuz i thought it was a step in the right direction that a superhero uses a gun for good instead of the normal depiction of them only being used for evil.

and i think MikePGS summed it up pretty well:

you're all a bunch of nerds. :neener:

*thread adds infinite nerdiness to THR effects of this thread cannot be reversed.

In closing Capt. America needs some Blue 2RCO grips.

Wait maybe someone out there who knows more than me can tell me about this. Cap with a gun? He hates killing and shooting people. It's why he hates the Punisher even though they share a military background and discipline. In Civil War he all but kills the Punisher for shooting a couple of supervillains in the head. Talk about dramatic departure from previous material written for Cap.

I just hope they don't ruin it. It smacks of trying to feed off the HUGE amount of press they got when the killed him off. Hopefully its well thought out because it would suck to take a big surge of interest like that and trash it with poor writing. Hopefully they keep it from being another "edgy" type thing like bringing Batman back as an angry old guy who now just shoots people.

Well since all the nerds seem to be watching this thread I have a question. In a 3 way fight who would win The Thing, The Hulk or Juggernaut?

Originally posted by Patriot Brewer: Will he be imprisoned if anybody he shoots is an illegal alien, regardless of the number or severity of the laws broken (starting with entering illegally)?
I would think if he shot anybody he should go to jail. An illegal alien is not necessarily a violent criminal. As entering the country illegally is a crime similar to speeding as there is no real direct victim. It is not like rape or murder as it is not a personal crime. Your post makes me think you would believe that its illegal to shoot an illegal alien. It isnt if you have a valid reason.

Juggernaut and Hulk are both Class 100 characters. The Thing is Class 50. He's the first one to go. Juggernaut is invulnerable to physical harm thanks to the magical power of the Crimson Gem of Cytorrak. He is only vulnerable psychic harm, and then only when his helmet is knocked off. The Hulk can be knocked out with sufficient power. I bet on Juggernaut.

Hey, you asked.

I agree, lanternlad! The Thing and Hulk have fought to a draw several times, but Juggernaut has laid the smack down on Hulk more than once.

Back OT(sort of):Wasz, the new Cap is not Steve Rogers. He may wear the uniform and embody what Captain America stands for,but it's a new character(or at least it's not Steve Rogers). Actually it's probably going to be a)an existing character who was predominantly in the Captain America series, or b)a brand new character who has the same story as Steve Rogers...a puny guy who volunteers to be a super-soldier. I really hope it's not a clone. That would be too cheesy.

Maybe it'll be Nolo.
