HK P2000sk would be my #1 choice for a sub compact if I ever wanted another.

I carry a Beretta 92FS now, so I don't intend to go back to a small gun.

But I have carried a Walther p99c A/S and a Glock 26 for 11 years total combined. I've also shot the Xdsc 9mm a lot. I think the P2000sk is a great gun and what I would get next if I was still into subcompacts.

I prev owned a regular HK P2000 - it was a great gun

Other.

Kahr PM9 in blackened DLC.

I own several other guns too including the Glock 33 and 27 but the little Kahr is always in my pocket. Even the magazines are so small that I carry two spares easily in my back pocket.

Seeing as I'm not 21 yet, and the Beretta Nano will hopefully be out by then (Jan.), I'll be waiting for it. Til then, my decidedly un-9mm, Leatherman Wave.

Way too short a list. One of several depending on my mood, need, lighting conditions, destination and etc. Could be a 1911, KP-90, 23, 27, 19, 26, BHP or even a GP-100 ... just depends. And given the quality of factory ammo now days, caliber is no longer a prime consideration.

I voted for the Glock 27, but if you intend to carry this pistol in 9mm flavor, then you really should get the G26. Conversion barrels are nifty and all, but in my experience the nod for reliability goes to the pistol in it's factory chambering.

Walther P99C. It's accurate, it's reliable, it's 100% dependable, and you can use a magazine sleeve and a 15-round mag to turn it into an almost full-sized P99 (the barrel is a bit shorter than the P99). It also eats anything and everything.

I carry either my Sig Sauer P6 or P228. Both are great carry guns that will always go bang.

My choice is the Smith Model 6906. If you want a well-made, uber-reliable, accurate and affordable compact, self-defense pistol having a thirteen round capacity in 9mm Luger, this pistol is the one I recommend.

I voted other,
If I am carrying a 9mm I always carry my sig p6.
I Like the single stack. Thinner and lighter then most wide body wonder nines. I do have a pair of S&W's one is a older m59. and a newer gun of the same model. But they are thick and kinda heavy. I do like my Sig 229, But the p6 is much lighter.
I am not one who thinks I need to carry a box of ammo with me and one extra mag for my Sig p6 is good enough for me.:neener:
