If I was dating I'd just be honest about it and carry. If she gropes you and finds a gun you can explain you are licensed and that there's no reason to be worried.

I agree with the philosophical poster. If she's going to grope for your pork sword then why should a gun worry her?

My wife was very anti-gun when i met her. She now can outshoot me in stress-drills and has several handguns she loves.

I'd say if carrying is really a big bad relationship ender there are some rather more serious problems in play.

when meeting someone, you can kind of feel them out by finding out about their past. do they have a relative who is in law enforcement or the military? have they ever gone hunting? things like that.

i waited almost a month of dating before bringing the subject of guns up to my now fiance. when i told her she laughed at me for thinking she'd have an issue with it.

she now comes to the range with me and has become very pro-gun.
