LOL, split the difference and get yourself a 9mm Makarov. Adjustable sights are available on certain models if you like that sort of thing. I carry a Russian Makarov every now and again and with a good holster and gun belt you don't hardly know it's there.

I also carry a PF-9 quite a bit and haven't had a problem with it functioning although mine is cosmetically challenged. I don't have any experience with the Rugers but they may very well fit your needs.

so i went to a buddies and shot a few of the guns.. the p3at feels like a cheap toy to me, the tcp doesnt fit well in my hand at all.. db380 had ALOT of ftf.. the one the felt the most comfortable to shoot was the ruger lcp but out of 3 mags i had two ftf and a fte.. and im almost postive it wasnt user error.. was shooting cheap steel case ammo might have been the reason..

if you want to carry it in your pocket, from what you list, the taurus tcp or ruger lcp are your best bets. between the two, the taurus has a nicer trigger, better sights, and locks back after the last round... but some are leery of buying tauruses. i'm not. my taurus 709 works fine.

uh, can you get me a TCP for 220? where can you get that price? lol. for 220, buy a TCP and be done with it.

ive never had an issue so that doesnt keep me from wanting it.. its the cheapest for me with my discount but it doesnt have the nice swell for the thumb that the ruger has and that seemed to make a big difference on shootability and comfort but both are tiny and light

just called and price is 240 for the blued 380.. and r u around central missouri lol

I'll throw the curveball here....
I daily carry either one of my FEG PA-63's or one of my Polish Radon P-64's.
Ballistics in between the two calibers you mention. Much more reliable/dependable than most the guns being recommended here> Military manufacturing specs. You mentioned budget....either of the guns mentioned will be under $200...ammo is plentiful and cheap. Most of the MilSurp pistols are literally new.

I have all the Glocks/S&W etc. I still carry my MilSurps.
Very difficult to beat the milsurp stuff for budget carry guns... but the p-64 is really the only one small enough to fit into most pockets, and it's all steel so is a bit heavy for that role.

i like my pa-63, but for carry, i can't see why i'd go with it over my makarov. they're basically the same size, but i get a better DA trigger and an extra round in the mag with the mak. i could see going with a p-64 over a mak for the size difference though.

edit: i will agree with you on the ruggedness and dependability of the milsurp stuff though. they're very high quality little pieces.

i have family that works at a wholesaler and a local GAS STATION lol that sells them at 20 dollars of wholesaler cost!! but they dont carry many brands

I was looking at budget too but when I tried out the Kahr P380, I was sold by its performance and accuracy.
It also fits in my hand perfectly which makes for a comfortable handgun. So I waited and saved until I could get the Kahr P380. I don't regret it. Sometimes you have to aim a little higher and be happier.

don't get the db 380

very unreliable

I have one. Bought a couple months ago. Have not had a single problem in about 500 rounds. Have two magazines both work well. I like it very much very easy to carry. And found out recently very easy to get out of a back pocket when needed. Sights are much better on the DB380 than the Ruger LCP. I also have a DB9 I just bought have to get out to range with it yet.

LCP Ruger, 380 or a S&W 442 (blued) or 642 (stainless) make two good pocket guns with the proper pocket and proper holster (Robert Mika makes an exceptional pocket holster that is all function, no frills and very reasonable in price)! I am going on my third year with my two RM Holsters I purchased and use nearly daily! They are excellent at keeping lint, dirt, perspiration, etc. off the gun and, most importantly, keep the trigger guard covered at all times for safety!

For safety-sake, I never put anything else in the pocket my gun is in. A key-ring could easily snag the trigger and in an emergency, one might be anxious to yank the keys out to get to the gun thus inadvertently pulling the trigger!

Also, for extremely large pockets, I have a little trick -- putting the holster with gun, snug up to the inner edge of the pocket and then drawing a line with a marker to indicate where to sew a partition (divider) line up the pocket so the large pocket makes the pocket holster fit perfectly without the holster moving around every which way!

For small pockets, I need not do this sewing at all.

My wife showed me how to use her sewing machine and, with the pants off and gun holstered in the pocket, I just mark the 'dividing' line a bit wider than the holster, then lay the pocket out flat onto the sewing machine and go straight back-and-forth four or five times (without the gun and holster, of course). When this results in a real small (useless) partition within the pocket because of the new divider, I just arch the straight-sewed line up-over to the nearest upper corner so lint, debris, etc doesn't get stuck in the narrow partition!

On several pairs of pants with exceptionally large pockets, that extra space on the other side of the divider is large enough to put a couple of .38 SpeedLoaders in or an extra magazine for my LCP. In fact, sometimes, I use that wider space to slip my cell phone in! Since the pocket is divided, anything put into the smaller pocket, adjacent to the gun with holster, does not interfere in any way with the gun, the holster and even drawing the gun!

Very cool idea. I may have my wife help me do that. She's sewn holsters into her purses to carry her LCR (yes, I know, she shouldn't carry off body).

I found that, you need to leave about 1/4" or a bit more, extra space to easily get the pocket holster into the divided-pocket! As long as the pocket holster is not moving every which way, you have solved the problem, and, as I mentioned, with extremely large pockets, you have the choice of having a second divided "slot" for anything that will fit, and it doesn't interfere with your holster!

Kel-tec 380 is a great gun (mine has around 500 rounds thru it) is the only that small that you can use +P ammo (to thats a biggie) and with the 9 round mag fits my hand fine and still hides in my front pocket... for under 300 with 9 round mag and the 6 round it came with
