Thought this thread might be useful to help THR members avoid frustrations when waiting for components.

I have ordered several components lately & here are experiences with shipping times.

Gamaliel Shooters Supply: Fast
Third Generation: Fast
Cabelas: Fast (but pricey)
Natchez Shooters Supply: SLOW (my items have not been shipping for 2 weeks from order)
Powder Valley: SLOWER (still have an order on March 6th that hasn't shipped)

Not picking on anyone here. I know Natchez & Powder Valley are under a bunch of pressure and have been honest about ship delays.

Just wanted to help fellow THR members.

I think Natchez must not like you. Note the below dates are confirmation emails from my inbox so the day it left the warehouse is not the same as the ship day for some companies.

Vendor order ship
Natchez 2/23 3/1
Natchez 2/10 2/20
Midway 2/20 2/22
Midway 1/23 1/24
Montana Gold 1/23 3/14
FSReloading 3/6 3/7

grubbylabs So what is "FAST" vs slow? Not trying to pick, I just know that some are more patient than others.

Gamaliel & Third Generation at door within a week of being ordered.

Natchez - 4 orders & I am averaging 3 weeks to door.

Powder Valley - Just called and they are running 35 days from order to shipment.

I don't think anyone is deliberately shipping slow.;) I would think that Natchez and PV probably handle multi times the volume of the others mentioned.
You might have just caused an avalanche to fall on them.:D

I placed an order with 3rd Generation last Wed and they shipped Thurs afternoon. That's fast by any standards. The prices and shipping are good too. $7.95 flat rate shipping with the usual $20 HazMat charge.

Agreed - both are good companies and under a bunch of pressure right now. It will be helpful for THR members to know alternate companies to shop from to take some pressure off PV & Natchez.

bds, Walkalong & others have done a great job on the components thread helping everyone find components.

I ordered 16 pounds of CFE 223 from powder valley that was in stock on Feb 24th.

I just got a tracking email a few minutes ago. 5 weeks.

Well thanks to this thread I now have two new vendors to choose from. :)

As for the OP:
Natchez .223 bullet order placed 3/27, shipped 3/28 (should arrive on 4/4)

Grafs is taking a minimum of three weeks to process non-hazmat in-stock orders and up to six weeks for in-stock hazmat orders.

I placed an order for 8# of Alliant Power Pro 1200-R at 3rd Generation this evening so we'll see how long it takes to ship.

YOU ARE A TURKEY!!!:). I'll agree with one of the previous posters "Natchez must not like me"!

I think that is best case scenario. I cancelled on of my orders from them after 3 weeks & not being able to get anyone on the phone. Maybe they don't like me either! :what:

Five weeks from my bullet supplier: Missouri Bullet Co. for 9mm and .45 ACP. A couple days from Midway for brass, and bullets when they had them....40 S&W, .222 Magnum. Rod

What date did you place & receive your MBC order? I just placed an order for a few thousand 9mmX19 & .40 cal bullets, their website states 3-4 weeks to process orders.

I placed an order for 44 and 45 cal bullets at Missouri Bullets on 4/2 and got my shipping notice today, 4/4.

Called Missouri Bullet yesterday about an order I placed on March 4th, sounds like it was all ready to go except the 147grain 9mm, so I think their lead times really depend on what you order.

Midway is still shipping next day. Larry Potterfield is the man!

GLOOB Graf's:
Ordered second week of Feb. Still waiting.

I cancelled my Graf's orders. It wasn't just because of the wait. I couldn't get a response to email or anyone on phone.

I've been finding things on other sites while waiting for my Graf's orders to ship, and canceling the Graf's orders as needed. The latest was when I found an 8# keg of powder at 3rd Generation a week before my Graf's order for a few 1# cans was due to ship.

Of course now I'm waiting for 3rd Generation to send me a shipping notice.

Probably more factors involved than we can imagine. I've got some orders (primers) from Natchez in 2-3 days, while others (bullets) have been 5 weeks now. Wideners had ammo to me in 3-4 days and took 3 weeks for ammo boxes.

Some vendors allowed backorders at first when things started going crazy and I suspect they got buried and are still trying to see daylight. Others stopped backorders right away.

I'm 5 weeks now waiting on Missouri Bullets and CB bullets. ManVentureOutpost just refunded an order that was 'in stock' when I placed it but wasn't really. They just couldn't guarantee when they could ship but offered a discount if I re-ordered when they got back in stock.

I've always had good luck with Midway and 3rd Gen.

Powder Valley, Grafs, and Brownells paid a heavy price in the initial panic and are still hurting. Not their fault, really, but yeah. They are some of the largest retailers out there so they see mega-traffic online. I will always be their customer because even with the panic they refused to jack up prices.

Of course, without the panic I'd have never found other nice places like Gamaliel, Third Generation, and Scheels.
