I was curious with the passage of reciprocity in Nevada, apparently it will be with states that have equal requirements as the state of Nevada.
I read on another forum that Utah will not have reciprocity because they don't require a live fire qualification to obtain the conceal carry permit, such as they do in Nevada.
My question for those that have the Utah permit is this:
-I qualified with a 10 round qualification when I did my conceal carry class in Utah and thought it was standard. Is that not the case? On the state's BCI page it says one of the requirements is: "Weapon Familiarity Certification. Applicants must complete a firearms familiarity course certified by BCI. The course must be completed before you apply for a permit. "
What exactly is this and do you think it will qualify for reciprocity with Nevada?
