You know, being a fairly new permit holder, I have mused many situations in my head about the need to confront an attacker. It seems to me that the person in the video made a few tactical errors. Perhaps when the wife was calling 911, she should have told the dispatcher that her husband was armed, and was holding the scum... I mean suspect at gunpoint.
Next, wouldn't you attempt to put the person on the ground, with his hands out?
Next, it would seem that the police officer would probably tell you to drop your weapon pretty quickly when arriving? Sakes, they probably would even put the handcuffs on you too until they sorted everything out, but I do think that "Drop the Gun" might be one of the first things out of the officer's mouth.
Finally, it would seem to me that to turn with the gun towards the officer is pretty crazy.
So, I guess I can save my money, and just be smart!
