I just received notice that my Kentucky CCDW permit is up for renewal in Dec. I just have to take the notice, a completed CCDW license renewal affidavit, Sixty dollars and a color photograph to the county sheriff. No problem with any of that at all. The only thing I don't understand is the photo has to be one that is developed from a negative. No digital prints are allowed whatsoever.
What is the reasoning behind this? I haven't take a picture with a film camera since the day I got digital back in the middle 90's. Now I'll have to dig out my Pentax 35 mm, buy a roll of film and probably new batteries, shoot the pic and have it developed for one picture. No big problem, I'm happy that it is so easy to obtain a CCW in Kentucky. Just don't understand why. Kyfarmer
