CZ Rifles....

Thanks, dh61.

It was a little dry and rusty, but most of that buffed off easily and the rest was on the front sight which I obviously cut off when shortening the barrel.

I miss the magic wand feeling of the longer barrel, but now it's the perfect packing rifle for the New England woods, which was the goal. Couldn't cut down Grandpa's .22, after all. I'll just have to get another one full length in .22WMR. :-D

ifit,

Thats some pretty good shootin...

I am going to shoot a couple of my CZz at long range today...at least what I consider to be long range...500 yards. I am curious to see how they perform...

The two rifles will be my 6.5X55 Swede and my 22-250.

Shot my CZs this past weekend. Here are a couple of targets. One from shooting my 6.5x55 Swede and another from my 22-250.

The Swede is my deer hunting load.

The 22-250 is a new load I was trying...I am going to go back to the other one.

I just picked up a CZ 550 full stock in 270 yesterday. Spent all my money on the gun so I couldn't get no ammo or reloading supplies for it. I'm impressed with the targets posted on here. Hope it shoots as good.

g33 nice fs you got there, i have the smaller version the 452 fs, just somthin about the cz full stocks. let us know how she shoots

I have a CZ 452 American in .22LR. Great quality for the price. Wish the trigger wasn't so creepy, though. I see Timney makes an adjustable trigger. Need to look into it.

Or you could buy a Brook's trigger kit for $15.00.

For some reason I cannot edit my earlier post. All of my other posts on other threads seem OK but on this one the edit button doesn't appear. No idea why but I need to replace a missing photo so here it is and maybe someone can tell me why this thread and only this thread denies me the ability to edit my post?

The very first rifle I bought was a CZ 452 Silhouette with a Bushnell Banner 3-9x40 scope mounted on it. It's a very neat little rifle and has seen more use than any of my other long guns. With Winchester subs I can tear ragged holes at 50 meters and (with the right hold over and so long as the wind isn't blowing too hard) can hit golf ball sized chunks of clay at 100.

Can't complain with that.

I've bought (4) rifles and (2) handguns. I posted a pic of the Rifles. A CZ 550 Safari Magnum in 458 LOTT. A CZ 550 American in 30-06. A CZ 452 American in 17HMR and finally a CZ 452 American in 17 Mach 2.

I wish the 453's were out when I bought the 452's. I wonder if CZ is going to make the set trigger available to those of us who have 452's but wish the set trigger feature? Kind of wierd the big 458 LOTT has the set trigger. Don't really need that on a buffalo or elephant.

t165,

What a great collection of CZs! They look great!

I have been looking at a CZ 550 American 243 and I am considering selling a couple of other rifles to pay for it.

I am sold on CZ pretty much because of the single set triggers. The rifles are every bit as good as any of the other rifles I own from other manufactorers and the SST simply put the CZs over the top.

The only other hunting rifle I would consider buying right now that is NOT a CZ would be Browning BBRs. I have a couple of them and would like to buy as many of the calibers as I can find and afford.

CZs

Between my brother and I, we have:

--Four 452/453s

--Zero 527s (yet)

--Two 550s.

--Three modern pistols

--One old pistol (52)

--One combo (M6)

--Two shotguns (Huglu)

I would not ever hesitate to buy a CZ rifle - love them! Still may get another FS yet. Really want two more FSs - one 452 and another 550.

G33,

Great looking rifle! How does it shoot? "

I spent every penny I had on the rifle so I haven't been able to buy any bullets yet.:scrutiny:
Might order me up some 270 reloading supplies tonight though.

The Tikka T3 is next on my list.

the tikkas as far as finish are not as nice, but they are great shooters.. Real accurate.. I would rate both about the same in that department..
