This has to be one of the cleanest Mini's I've ever seen and I'm thinking it's going to be my next gun. I'm not really into AR's they just seem like a two stroke motor to me. Cheap to fix but your tinkering with them all the time. Is the 30 round mag that comes with this model made by Ruger and just as dependable as the 20 rounders?? If you got one post up some better pictures please because it sure does look sharp in this picture!!

I was in love with it the second I seen it haha. I was already saving up for the Tactical version but there's something about the mix of the wood stock and tacital barrel with the longer mag that just sets this rifle off and I love it :).

CDNN was/is selling something like that. the picture is almost the same. its advertised as a circassian walnut stock. as to whether this is the same gun, not sure.
price is $700.

I've owned one of these "Deluxe" versions for almost a year. It works perfectly. and accuracy has gotten down to around 1.5" for TEN rounds at 100 yards. My rifle has never fired a single factory-loaded round, out of almost 1000 rounds to date. I use the 55-grain Vmax with H335 as my "standard" load.

I intensely dislike the Ruger flash-hider. The barrel is threaded 9/16x24 right-hand, which is the same as the British L1A1 FAL-type rifle, so I switched to that rifle's flash-hider. It looks MUCH better, and also allows mounting of the L1A1 bayonet if so desired(!). The FH is available from Gunparts for about ten bucks, I think. Easy conversion, 'specially for those who want bayonet capability The Brit bayonet is a nice-looking 8" blade, also available from Gunparts.

I mounted a Leupold 1-4X Mark AR scope in Ruger rings, and it's a good rig for this rifle.

The Deluxe rifle is a bit different from run-of-the-mill Minis, nd costs a bit more, but it's a very nice package, indeed. I sure like mine!

Since you know nothing about ARs, and 2-strokes, you should denounce your US citizenship.

:D

Not saying that rifle doesn't have potential. ;)

Lets see I was in the Army 1/41st Infantry Battalion and grew up on the Oregon sand dunes riding Banshee's and various 2 stroke dirt bikes so take my opinion or leave it I really don't care either way.

Yes, it was good, and I had it coming. Put my big foot in my mouth again. ;)

No disrespect intended, jkulysses.
Haha it's all good no hard feelings here and I was being a little dramatic comparing an AR to a 2 stroke. The only reason I really said that is because they do require a little more maintenance to keep them running properly then say a 4 stroke or M14 although right now I have a Honda 450R 4 stroke and that thing is pretty high maintenance also :).

I love the the look of that mini. I'm sure you could probably recreate it for less than what it's listed for though. Just pick up the regular tactical version and then pick up a nice wood stock for it. Unless the wood stocks go for over $300 you should come out ahead and you'd have a synthetic stock to switch to.

I've heard a lot of mixed comments about the 30 round mags. I don't own any so I can't speak from experience, but the 20 rounders are supposed to be more reliable.

Midway has them on clearance for $33 FYI

honesty, I dont think you would only be getting a wood stock for $300. I believe you get a better quality gun since it is more or less a "custom" gun. I've seen some pretty rough mini's and for this price, one should expect about 189- series quality finish with the newer accuracy.

Really? I absolutely won't pretend to know anything about what Ruger does for a distributor exclusive gun, but I'd be pretty surprised if Ruger would go to those sort of lengths for one. I can certainly see a nicer than average wooden stock and other "easy" changes... I'm not saying you are wrong, just thinking out loud, so to speak.

I have a new 584 ATI and I don't have any complaints about the finish on mine, but that's the only experience I have with the mini.

The gun is listed as being 38" long with the flash hider on it. I measured my 580 series with the tapered 18" barrel and it is also 38" long without a flash hider. I think I prefer the longer barrel.

Nice looking gun though. I saw a tactical in blue /synthetic and sure was tempted to buy it. I loved how much handier it felt with just a little shorter barrel.

i relly like the look of this rifle, if they had it in ss and everything else the same i would have to get one. i have a ss ranch with wood stock and love it. i will have to get mine threaded & recrowned for a flash hider or muzzle brake this winter. this would be a nice brother for mine though.

The Tactical models have a 16" tapered barrel instead of the 18" barrel on the regular models. The shorter barrel is more accurate.
