A Glock 19 9mm would have been nice but I had to settle for a pair of shorts to wear with my new Ruger T shirt to the range! :D One of the guys at the range this AM admired my shirt. A Jeff Foxworthy moment!

A nice gun cleaning kit...I hear, we're in Gainesville Fl. for my daughters College preview...Go Gators.

I did not get any gun related stuff but I did get some good stuff from the wife and my daughter. From my wife I got a Blue Collar Comedy tour video, God I love Ron White, and a gift certicate to the best "real" BBQ place around. From my daughter I got a double CD set of ZZ Top music, something that I had hinted at. I also spent the day cooking for about 50 Cowboys and girls at our gun club. Who scheduled the Cowboy action match on fathers day? I did get a lot of compliments on my cooking and I got to hang out with friends so it was a good day. Yup a G19 or 23 would have made me happy too?:D

Got sent to the annual Miwall ammo sale. A magnum day with .22's,.357's,.41's,&.44's :D I realize the .32Mag is left out but they didn't have any and the really big ones don't float my boat.

My youngest gave me a "gift certificate" she made herself for one Black Dog 30 round magazine for my Ciener conversion kit. I was very impressed, since that represents a whole day of babysitting to her. Of course, she knows she will get to use it too. ;) The middle daughter got me a book from Borders on revolvers and pistols. The oldest just got married and is too poor to spring for anything, but she did call me.

Hubby got...

Our first post! I'm the wife/mother. Call me S. He's the husband/father. Call him K. She's the daughter. She probably won't be on here, but she's C.

Hubby got:

Our first trip to an indoor shooting range. Very nice experience. Rented/tried out a few different types of handguns (Bersa 380, Beretta 380, and a 45) and a AR15 Bushmaster.

Then we went to Joe's Crab Shack for a wonderful late lunch.

Then he purchased an AR15 Bushmaster (different place, saving over $300.)

All this after spending two whole days without the child! It was like getting a gun for your honeymoon!!!

Seems Father's Day was a much bigger deal than my Mother's Day (industrial ear piercing). Go figure! :)

Happy Father's Day to ALL!!!!!!

I didn't, but I do know of one gentleman who is the proud owner of an unfired
81/82 Colt Python in 6" Royal Blue after he clears Ca's 10 day wait period.
I hated to see it go, but I want to pay in advance for my plantin...

Today I called my Dad to tell him that I love him. His birthday is early next month and he'll be the proud new owner of a slightly used Mk 2 Ruger pistol. He had a Mk1 when he was younger, but unfortunately I don't have the time to locate one. After speaking with him, it sounds like he'll be more than happy with the Mk2 though :)

I got some .45ACP and 12Ga ammo. A nice watch and wallet (Not gun related but still.....). A nice vest that will make a nice fall/winter CCW garment (Columbia Sportswear, does not scream GUN!!!). Later this week will be taking a trip to Bass Pro Shops to pick out some other accessories.

Nothing actually today. But I spent about $200 on reloading stuff in the past 2 weeks which I counted as my fathers day gift. So I'm stocked up on powder and bullets, I got a powder trickler, some new ammo boxes, some spare shell holders, case lube, and other odds and ends. I did get taken out to Perkins for breakfast by the wife and kids, which was nice.

I shoulda got a set of .270 dies.

Got to take my 6-year-old son shooting. We ended up being a bit cramped for time, but fun was had nonetheless. I also got 600 rds of 7.62x39 for my WASR. Not too bad.

I got my dad a set of Scotch glasses. It's always nice to have the right equipment for a job.

"I" got a big plasma screen TV to watch shoot'em up movies and sports on, but I'm sure my wife will be watching her soaps exclusively in the family room from now on!
