Bought a 700 stainless thumbhole last Oct. and still not fired.
Don't even have the scope base screws removed yet. Bought it on impulse after the shop knocked off $50. In my younger days there would have been bullets flying out the barrel the very next day after buying!
I have some that I have never shot, they have been fired in the past. My Grandfather gave to me, and some of them probably should not be shot anymore. 1868 ish, black power 10 ga.shotgun, Old Remington 10A riot shotgun (told takes paper shells) 1880ish break open Scoldfeild (spelling) Revolver, 1943 P-38, Luger, WWII era Colt .45 1911. Except for that kind of stuff, everything else is for making holes.
my grandmothers hand-me-down rifle. from her uncle to her and finally to me. its a j. stevens favorite 1915 .22lr single shot. hasn't been fired in decades i would say. i just keep it covered and oiled.
oh, i forgot my m1 carbine that i got last month. i have ammo and it seems to function fine but i have no place to go to shoot it. i really need to get into a club around me.....
Yeah, my one and only Polish M44 but since i'm making a trip tomorrow to get ammo hopefully it won't be long now before it comes out to play. it's been an exercise in frustration not being able to play with Mozzie.
No I don't. I love shooting too much to buy something and not use it. Granted, some guns only come out once a year (my hunting guns) but they all have been shot and abused. Only two have not put food on the table, My Beretta 96 and my AR. My AR will be getting me a coyote bathroom rug soon though...
I have couple I bought with the intention to shoot ableit sparingly but after the fact never could bring myself to do so,at least not yet.Look at the photos and you'll have a better understanding why I am hesitant.
yep, i have a unfired type 2 national match garand with papers & the shipping receipt. it was bought as an investment & will not be shot as long as i own it. i could buy a shooter garand for less than it would devalue this rifle by shooting it.
yep, I bought a Mosin last year and have meant to shoot it but just never have. It is in pretty good shape and one of these days I am going to take it out and see if it shoots as pretty as it looks.
I've got two Mosins, a Yugo SKS, a Marlin 336, a Mossberg 20 ga pump gun, a Nagant revolver, and a Colt Pocket Positive 32 revolver that I've never fired. I'm sure all but the Marlin and the Mossberg have been fired by someone, but not by me.
A 6.8 SPC that I got over the winter and haven't been able to find ammo for it. Got 500 pieces of brass and a couple hundred Speer hollowpoints heading this way, so it won't be long now.
