I currently own one but have been less than pleased as posted and flamed in another thread. Problems keeping the factory rail secured to receiver (and no there was nothing in the manual about using Locktite) then problems keeping the Nikon scope mounts from walking forward on that rail then the screw holding the stock and receiver together loosened up. I spend more ammo zeroing it in than I do shooting it. I have owned and shot several other rifles up to 30.06 and have never had to tighten the receiver screw. So currently undecided on how I feel about it.

I have a 10/22 that has been gutted and rebuilt with aftermarket parts as well as a newly purchased 10/22 TD. My son has a stock 10/22 as well.

I have 2 from the early to mid 1980s.

Was thinking of getting a Marlin for no real reason as I prefer mags to tube but the extra legal anywhere rounds would by neat I guess.

But now I want a take down model. Its SS to boot.

I own two; one with a peep sight and one scoped and I enjoy them both. I’ve put some aftermarket parts in them but I didn’t really have too. They worked just fine before that.

I have two. My most recent is a Walmart 10/22 that I converted using an Archangel kit. I had to order a raised rail and actually got the scope mounted on it yesterday. My older 10/22 will shoot anything I put in it but I had some trouble with FTF and FTE for the first 200 rounds or so, before I added the kit. Yesterday I shot 100% Remington bulk with zero issues. I was using the Ruger 25 round mags that I bought from CDNN and accuracy was about as expected from 50 yards leaning over the truck with a red dot, non-magnified scope and my old eyes.

The picture is the 10/22 and an AR for comparison. I took the shroud off the front of the 10/22 and will have it threaded for a silencer. It is almost impossible to use the 10 round Ruger mags with this kit as the mag is difficult to extract.

I have a 10/22 International (the one with the full "Mannlicher" stock). I've had it since highschool. It doesn't get used much by me, heck I rarely even take it when i head to the range anymore. But i may have to do something about that, after last weekend.

Decided to shoot some sage-rats (what they call them around here, dunno what they actually are) at a friend's property. So friday me and a friend go and zero the scopes on my 10/22 and the one i borrowed from a friend. I realised the BSA i've had on it for years had crap eye relief, so i picked up a Simmons 22 MAG 3-9x32 at Big5 friday night. Me and my girlfriend go out to zero THAT saturday morning, then head over to the hunting property and bag a dozen or so rodents each.

The upshot? I'd forgotten how much fun those little rimfires can be, especially without big, loud centerfires to distract you.

Also, a total of around 400 CCI MiniMags fired over the 2 days with 100% reliability and paper groups around 3/4" @ 50yd. Accurate & reliable enough for me

New takedown model (soon to be in a wood stock, I'm not digging the synthetic one and don't care about weight)

all i have is cz rimfires, but at my local gs saw a different lookin 1022 from the rest i always see a the range, has a crescent buttstock, did some research and pointed to being produced in 1970 so this is my first ruger 1022:)

I have three. One I bought in the mid '80s, re-stocked and bull barrelled it about 15 years back. Second one I bought about 11 years ago for the purpose of installing a bull barrell and thumbhole stock and big scope. Last one was a spur of the moment purchase while buying a Beretta Neos. That was the 40th Anniversary model.

I bought my 10/22 in 1993. I put a 3 X 9 scope on it and went to town with it. The problem was no one else had a 22 so it ended up in the closet. A while later I added a match barrel and a synthetic stock but it went back into the closet. I finally ran into some 10/22 people and we now have fun at the range. I added a bipod and now it is a tack driver at 100 yards. I run about 100 to 200 rounds every trip to the range on whatever is cheapest at WalMart.

i do not have a 10/22. i have had a model 60 for several years and have out-shot 10/22s on more than one occasion so have never really had a big urge to get a 10/22. all that being said, i still want one. would really like to find one cheap somewhere and fix it up with a target barrel and a nice trigger and a fancy wood stock. just dont want to buy one new just to pull half the stuff off of it right away.

You really should alter the options for folk like me who have owned one but no more - otherwise, we have to say no.

Mine? I loved it but had to sell it in High School to meet that crap HS ring commitment.

And no, I don't have the POS ring - it didn't last long as I threw it across a highway less than a year later. Oddly, a gal called me years later having found it and tracked me down. I told her to pitch it, sell it, whatever. I sure wish the current owner of my 1976 10/22 would track me down.

I'm with those who are surprised not every household has at least one.

Honestly, I don't know anyone who has a Marlin 22 (guess I need to get out more), so I went on their website....they say theirs is the "most popular 22 in the world." Hmmm.....think I might call B.S. on that claim....I hang around with a lot of shooters and don't see any of those "popular 22s...." but do see a lot of 10/22s....

Anyway, I'm down to one 10/22 from a high of 6; a SS w/black-painted stock, inexpensive Simmons scope and Volquartsen trigger kit that puts bullet after bullet into 1" at 50 yds. I use it mostly for sage rats (Driftertank, I believe the official name is "Belding's ground squirrel). Keep thinking I should get a .920 barrel and stock, but....

I'm getting a kick out of all the mods on this thread....there must be a thread here showing more.

But now.....I maybe need a Mannlicher/International version......

like said - if you want to replace everything in your gun...then 10/22 is the gun you want....I shot this (thats a 10 shot group@50yds CCI minimags) with my Marlin 7000 bone stock 2 years ago...didnt feel a need for change. I did put it in a boyds stock last year with my son. I do not know how this Remington acquiring marlin has affected things - thankfully I will never have to find out as I have seen first hand what their QC lets out.

Some currently on hand: The 10/22LVT has a great tapered bull barrel, target trigger. The 16" barrel on the Blackhawk stock works well for the wife - super lightweight, very adjustable pull. The full-on camo one has an 18" barrel. Also have a Charger (not pictured).

All fun to shoot. 10/22LVT is especially accurate.

I just thought of something....do stock 10/22 rifles exist? do any of their targets exist? proof to the pudding now - oh thats right....I can get a Volquartzen 10/22 that has nothing of significance left of the original...lmao

My Deluxe Sporter has had nothing done to it internally. Its front sight took off one day at the range, but I didn't notice because I was shooting it with a 3x9 scope, which is still on there.

I am contemplating putting a VQ trigger in it, though.
