Do you qualify as a gun enthusiast?

I notice the time every day at either 10:22 or 3:57.
I notice the same thing. I also notice 4:40, 3:18, and 3:08 (440 and 318 Mopar engines :) ) and 3:08 is my room number and .308 caliber too :D

3. I rather look at gun magazines than any of those hound-and-horny celebrity and entertainment mags everybody else is reading.

Dude, I qualify as a gun nut and all, but I would rather punch myself repeatedly in the throat than read that crap.

I think that most people are one form of gun enthusiasts or another, because we all share a common interest in guns. However there's the recreational shooters, the serious competition shooters and practical/combat shooters.Being an enthusiast is a healthy thing to do,because it's about the love of the gun and the sport, like any other sports around and unfortunately we have morons amongst us,who are quite emotionally immature and who become enthusiasts, because they're weak-minded and like guns, because it gives them a sense of power.I've met some right plonkers or 'muppets' at some shoots before and it angered me,because these types had similar traits to Hamilton and Ryan, who were mass murderers, who used legal weaponry to murder many and got us our famous or infamous, bans. It's these types of 'so-called enthusiasts' that should stay away from gun clubs, because they are not mentally-fit to join.
A good example is the freak who apparently killed Jill Dando, because he joined Kensington and Chelsea Pistol Club in 1982-and he said that he was called Steve Majors(Lee Majors and Steve Austin.) and his occupation was an SAS stuntman. He later changed it to Thomas or Tommy Palmer, the hero of the 1980 Iranian Embassy Seige-whose Mp5 jammed and whom shot an Iraqi terrorist in the head, with his Hi-Power.

If you are contemplating a 31-30 wildcat to fill the performance gap between your 30-30 and your 32 Special.

If your 44 Special handloads produce more velocity than your 44 Magnum handloads because you want to see what you can get out of a 44 Special but you want to baby your S&W 29-2.

You have a revolver that's widely available in 454 Casull chambered in 45 Colt because you want to see how hot you can run a 45 Colt.

You have a 9 mm revolver to use up the 9 mm handloads that won't feed in your self loader.

You have to be careful to segregate 44 Special or 45 Colt handloads because some of your revolvers will take a hot load and some won't.

I'm a nut

When first married I lived in a small multiplex. Sometimes, I would see my neighbor take out the trash in a hurry and rush to their outdoor storage closet to get in a few practice strokes with his putter or club. Once, he hit a ball and cracked my windshield. I thought he was a nut.

Now, every time I go through the garage I'm tempted to pull one of my firearms from the safe to admire it. Did I mention I ran air ducts to my garage for heating and cooling? You know, for the children.

Yes. I've got it bad.

?

Sounds familiar, I also added an insulated garage door. Cars in garage, no way it is my gun/reloading/woodworking shop

"6. During boring rides on the subway I find myself thinking..."Hmmm....... I wonder how famous I would be if I necked down a .50 BMG casing to accept a .30-06 Springfield slug and then market that off as a new, ultra velocity varmint busting ammo?"

Hey, careful there...that's getting awfully close to my patent-pending ".17-50BMG Improved!"

Or its big brother the '".17-20mm Ultra Mag Improved!"

The "Chipmunk Youth Rifle" version of that one is still in development. :what:

I am truly sick , I've been keeping my brass since 1986 and I still dont own a reloading setup (BUT I MIGHT ONE DAY!) . BTW , a few months back I bought 10MM dies to justify buy a 10MM pistol (er ...well 2 of them now)

Im a gun nut.
Cant watch a movie without constantly making comments about guns
and how they are used.
And I got T-shirts with gun name on them.....actually I got a Ruger coffee mug right beside my keyboard right now.....
And these are just two....many of those listed fits my profile...

The wife just told me that the next time I leave the house with a gun case, she is checking to see if it is empty.Darn you Hokkmike, darn you!

"You're a gun nut if you bought 5000 5.56 bullet heads because you are afraid that the ban will go through and you'll have to shoot soft points through your AR."
Bullet Heads!!!!! What kind of "gun guy' calls them Bullet Heads??

You're a gun nut if you figure out a way to turn an old cofee table into a reloading bench :)

What else... oh, if you've got a full time day job, a part time night job, you go to school, and you STILL find time to go shooting at least once a week.
