Gun nut humor

I don't know about that. I looked at one of them Blackhawks and no matter how hard I pulled the trigger, it wouldn't go off.
Oh, I get it. Single Action, if you don't cock the hammer, the trigger won't pull. That also explains those people posting revolvers in holsters that don't cover the trigger.

Seems the S&W 25 is about the only double action 45 Colt revolver on the market.

The SW .460 can shoot 45 LC too! and is Sa/DA

Dang, I am using Accurate 2200 powder, what are you using? I also stick with the lower end of the charge weight for 458 as it lets me load a bit more rounds per pound and has slightly less recoil.
Lil-Gun (I recall) I put a gas check 405gn 45/70 HC bullet to see if it would work, and it worked GREAT! try it!

BCA 18” upper, Cheap but works

Yep, it is a versatile gun and all the gun anyone needs to handle even the Yeti. However, my budget says I cannot justify one unless the price were ridiculously low. If i see such deal I will buy any revolver in the 40s and then worry about what ammo. Meanwhile, the 357 Magnum seems to be the revolver to have as it is also very versatile and ammo is not too expensive or hard to get. While the 357 is not a big bore, it sure acts like one in many ways.

LOL, funny you mention that... I actually haven't even shot it yet cause I'm waiting on a rig from Kirkpatrick Leather out of Laredo Texas! That reminds me, I need to get fitted for a Stetson...

My understanding was that you don't get fitted for a Stetson. Sooner or later your head will conform to the Stetson.

You may be a gun nut if you calculate cross sectional areas of various bullets. I just learned that a 32 ACP has about 2x the cross sectional area of a 22. That is impressive, as far as it goes. And the 32 ACP is about 80 percent the cross-section area of a 9mm.

Hmm interesting. Do you have a reputable place for load data I can look up or maybe a physical manual? And yeah I have a 10.5in radical firearms barrel and it works fine. The rest of the upper parts are basic mil spec type stuff. I have it on a SBRd Palmetto M4 clone lower with an Echo II in it.

Here's one to play with: calculate the horsepower generated in firing a .22LR.

1200 f/s, 22 inch barrel, 131 ft lb of energy, 0.00153 seconds bullet transit time in the barrel.

I did this recently elsewhere assuming that transit time and got 155.7 hp. I asked for corrections and so far, it stands.

But a more likely transit time of 2.5 milliseconds yields 95.3 hp.

I’m PM you my load when I back home. No published loads, internet experiments. Worked for me, No pressure signs, recoil was heavy.
