Hey Everyone!

Ever gotten into a romantic situation while you were packing with someone who didn't know you carried a gun?

Did they find it or did you creatively ditch it somehow so they didn't notice?

If you successfully ditched it, how did you manage it?

If they found it what did you say? Did they freak out? :what:

This is a useful tactic that our single board members might be able to use.

I can think of very few things short of taking a girl/guy hunting that would act as a better filter for selecting a prospective spouse.

In my wife of seven years, I have a partner who I can trust. This is largely due to this sort of thing happening. When my then girlfriend found the pistol in my nightstand and asked if she could shoot it, I learned something important.

If your romantic interest catches you packing and freaks, get out fast.

In high school my brother had a T-shirt that said "Life is too short to dance with ugly women" which while cute, always bothered me.

I would say "life is too short to show romantic interest in people who are repulsed by your passions"

The sea is full of fish of all kinds, just throw the foul tasting ones back.

I married a gal who understood she didn't LET me do anything.

There is healthy discussion.

There is compromise when necessary.

But never would I allow my wife tp LET me do something.

We were once at a party and I was talking with a very beautiful and single woman without my wife by my side. We often split up because we often don't want to talk to the same people.

Another wife remarked, "Why do you let him do that?" The woman looked at my wife perplexed.

My wife replied, "I don't LET him do anything. He's not that kind of man."

Maybe it's an Italian thing...who knows?

But there are so many! Besides, since you cannot see his left arm, it almost looks like you are a puppet he's controlling :)

I still get a giggle when my G/F puts her arms around me and discovers that there is something under my shirt/jacket...

On a slightly more serious note, okay maybe not serious but atleast on topic! I was wondering this same thing, since last Tuesday I had a date. Of course being a guy you always think positivley and wondered what I would do if things got a little frisky. I would tell you what I did but unfortunatley this never was an issue!
 
Well I remember back when I was in college and this sorority sister was ever so proper. Until she saw my Walther PPK in its weird old Seventrees shoulder holster. Holy smokes she about attacked me wanting to play wierd fantasy games after that every night she'd call me up to "go out" . Gold Finger and suave spys were all the rage ya see, but this one had BIG TIME fantasies. She married Chip Carter, Jimmy Carters son, and I went to VN.:p
 
Runt, your post brought to mind the romantic scene with Eastwood and Rene Russo in Eastwood's "In the Line of Fire."
