Never thunked that before, but it makes sense that the manufacturer would supply the art design to what ever catalog was selling their items,,

Many manufacturers supplied advertising "Cuts and Mats" to dealers for local advertising. They were all the artwork with room left to insert your name and location. I'm sure the manufacturers had stuff like that available to many sources since it allowed them to control content.

My Dad gave me my first centerfire when I turned 15, it was a 99F in .308 Win.

Sadly, I had to sell it to pay bills back in college. I guess having a roof and food for a month and a half was better than sleeping in my car with my rifle.
