I ordered wood grips from taurus for my 905 as I prefer wood to rubber for conceal carry. However, I made a booboo in installing them. I put the screw in the same side as the screw came out of the rubber grips. Only one side of the these grips was threaded. I had a hell of a time getting that screw out. Tried gradually increasing force to get that screw to connect with the threads. Long story short, I ended up cracking the grip.

It was completely an error on my part (although instructions would have been nice). I decided somewhat on a whim to call Taurus and relay the story to them essentially as above but with some more detail. Customer service rep said with no hesitation "yeah, we'll replace them." I sent them in a week ago today and was just informed that new ones are being sent to me today.

I've been really impressed with the Taurus line up. Some really interesting pieces. I'm impressed with the quality of the three Taurus revolvers I own. This kind of customer service will keep me coming back as a customer. They are working hard at getting into my favorite revolver manufacturer slot.

I've had similar positive experience with Taurus on repairs. They honor the
lifetime warranty without charge or questions. My only complaint, a minor
one, is that they don't tell you what they've done to fix the gun on the
invoice. They will tell you in detail, however, if you call the repair department
and speak to one of their smiths.

I once had a 669 ported revolver that has a wigly cylinder lock-up when I got it. I send it to them with a note to tighten it up and an offer to pay for the expenses. They did what I want and didn't charge me any. Less than two weeks turn around and it shot like a Smith. Sadly, years down the road, I have to sell it due to financial reason.
Their warranty service is no joke, I'll buy another Taurus if I have to. :)

I've only needed Taurus customer service one time for a relatively minor item - the yoke screw on my 617S wandered away. I made a phone call and had a new one in my mailbox (no charge) the same week.

The only time I had to deal with them it was back in 00.

I had acquired a used PT100 AFS from a local pawn shop and after I put a couple thousand rounds thru it I noticed a hairline crack in the slide just above the extractor. I dont know how many rounds were put thru the pistol before I got it.

I sent it to Taurus to see what they would do and in 3 weeks I got a brand spankin new pistol. They even sent my 11 round mag back with it that I forgot to keep.
