I ordered wood grips from taurus for my 905 as I prefer wood to rubber for conceal carry. However, I made a booboo in installing them. I put the screw in the same side as the screw came out of the rubber grips. Only one side of the these grips was threaded. I had a hell of a time getting that screw out. Tried gradually increasing force to get that screw to connect with the threads. Long story short, I ended up cracking the grip.
It was completely an error on my part (although instructions would have been nice). I decided somewhat on a whim to call Taurus and relay the story to them essentially as above but with some more detail. Customer service rep said with no hesitation "yeah, we'll replace them." I sent them in a week ago today and was just informed that new ones are being sent to me today.
I've been really impressed with the Taurus line up. Some really interesting pieces. I'm impressed with the quality of the three Taurus revolvers I own. This kind of customer service will keep me coming back as a customer. They are working hard at getting into my favorite revolver manufacturer slot.
