What's your favorite polymer .45 ACP pistol and why? The reason I ask is because, if I could ever find some ammo, I'll be in the market for one. In my neck of the woods, FNP45 and HK45 are not on the DOJ approval list.

The only poly .45 I ever owned was an early XD45. It was a zero issue pistol but too big to me to conceal. I wish I'd waited and saved up so I could've kept it instead of selling it off for a more concealable piece.

and one more for the xd! why? they are reliable, accurate, and will run and run, they are backed by one of teh best cs in teh industry, and they have never let me down.

Likewise, the only polymer .45 ACP caliber pistol I've ever owned is my
Springfield Armory XD-45. Last trip to the range, it was the only firearm
I took. It has Tru-Glo (tritium) fiber optic sights; and wears a streamlight
TLR-1 flashlight, which is a good thing on a home D' weapon~! ;) :D

In 45 acp the Glock 30 or 36
In 45 GAP the model 39 (it get's carried the most)

Ruger P345. Light easy to carry. 8 + 1 of .45acp. Easy recoil. Accurate.
No failures of any kind with mine.

The only poly .45's that I have significant trigger time with are the XD45, Glock 21 and Glock 21SF. I was really wanting a Glock, but the XD was a way better match for my hands, so I bought the XD. I have somewhwere between 6 to 8 thousand rounds or maybe more through mine and if it isn't a semi-wadcutter, it's fed it no problem. Also, in my hands, it is more accurate than my Glocks and CZ75B (all 9mm's), and only loses in that department to my 1911 which costed 3X as much.

My 5" version is really too big for me to carry, but it's a great truck or woods gun. I ended up getting trigger work done on mine, as I felt that the stock trigger on mine (long, mushy, and creepy) was holding me back, but went too light in pull weight selection. If I could go back in time, I'd still have gotten a trigger job but would have selected 4-5 lbs pull weight.

If I can't have my HK45 (which I can), I'd run out and get a:

SA XD-45

Why? Because they are comfortable, reliable, accurate, and well-engineered.

Taurus 845 is a great new pistol. I'd vote for the FNP45 but I guess the police state you live in has banned them for some reason.

I love my XD 45! My carry gun is a Glock 19, but my XD 45 is the house gun! Utterly, ricockulously reliable gun, easy shooter, digests all kinds of ammo. You can't go wrong with it.

One more for the p345. <3 that gun, seriously.

Usp 45

This is my favorite - H&K USP 45. It has worked perfectly every time I have used it, over the 8 years I have owned it.
