This time it was on the Mexican side. Next time?
Over 500 pounds of marijuana was found at the murder scene. Sources believe it was left behind to send some sort of message.
What kind of message would this send? This is our area, or no drugs on border?

Three former Mexican police officers were murdered a week ago.

The vehicle the three men were riding in is riddled with bullets. It's now evidence of a bloodbath.

The vehicle's owner, Pablo Gracia Noriega, once worked closely with U.S. law enforcement officers, then in 2003, he was convicted in the U.S. on weapons violations.

Mexican authorities say bullet casings found at the scene show high powered weapons were used in the gun battle.

An area known as Las Mariposas is where drug smugglers and people wanting to cross into the U.S. illegally come through. It's where the 3 former Mexican police officers were ambushed.

The area is considered extremely dangerous. In fact, we had to be escorted there by armed state police officers.

The remote location is within a mile of Nogales, Sonora and about the same distance from the U.S./Mexican border.

Mexican state police are investigating the homicides.

Each victim was shot five times.

Officials believe organized crime is behind the murders. They think it's all part of a turf war between drug traffickers.

Sources tell Eyewitness News 4 that assassins were hired to kill these men.

Over 500 pounds of marijuana was found at the murder scene.

Sources believe it was left behind to send some sort of message.

This recent wave of violence is of great concern to Santa Cruz County Sheriff Tony Estrada.

"I t's very disturbing for us here at the border, and a major concern to authorities on both sides of the border," Estrada says.

Sheriff Estrada is hoping the violence won't spill over onto the U.S.

Oh good, now we can have mob wars on our borders! Thanks, Bush! Your open borders stance is really helping us American Citizens. Notice to idiots, I didn't say "whites." This crap is bad for LEGAL AMERICAN CITIZENS OF EVERY RACE, GENDER, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, etc.

Not to worry ... :scrutiny:

These "wars on the border" have been going on for years, with shooting and killings on both sides of the line.

Authorities on both sides don't seem to pay much attention, other then cleaning up the mess. We only hope that non-combatents can keep out of the lines of fire ... :banghead:

Anyone waiting on the government to do something will have a long wait ... :cuss:

Life's little ironies: "Las Mariposas" -- "The Butterflies".

The Border has always had its hot spots and hot times. I imagine it always will.

The Neuvo Laredo police chief had a one-day tenure before the Zetas machine gunned him...Sixty dead aroun NL, with some 450 in the general area. And that's just this year...

My biggest fear when hunting out in the bush is not running into the illegals, its running into the coyotes/smugglers that are armed.

I hunt areas that are no more than 500yds from the border. Needless to say, I'm armed with more than just a shotgun when bird hunting.

The vehicle's owner, Pablo Gracia Noriega, once worked closely with U.S. law enforcement officers, then in 2003, he was convicted in the U.S. on weapons violations.

Let me guess, he was carrying a gun in the U.S. because he feared for his life because he was working with the U.S. Feds! And we repay him by convicting him on "weapons charges"...

That's sick :barf:

An interesting viewpoint on whats occurring with the violence on our southern border.

oh, I think much of it was intended, but like Iraq, they got a bit more than what they expected.

I got the following in an email. Now, I don't put much credence on Alex Jones normally, but I do know DEA Agent Celerino "Cele" Castillo is credible. He has been a whistle-blower on a lot of things happening on the border.

Former DEA Agent: Mexican Commandos Killing In South West US To Protect Bush Drug Cartel Prison Planet | June 9 2005 http://www.prisonplanet.com/index.html Retired DEA Agent Celerino "Cele" Castillo III served for 12 years in the Drug Enforcement Administration where he built cases against organized drug rings in Manhattan, raided jungle cocaine labs in the amazon, conducted aerial eradication operations in Guatemala, and assembled and trained anti-narcotics units in several countries. Cele appeared on the Alex Jones show and dropped the bombshell that los Zetas, Mexican drug commandos trained in the U.S. at the School of the Americas at Fort Benning, Georgia to be the elite "special forces" of the Mexican military are now murdering police and conducting hits all over the South West US. This partially came out in the national media last week but the spin was that it was just a case of blowback and that these US trained commandos had come back to haunt their former handlers. The truth is that they are still working for the US government in protecting drug routes to keep the wheels of Wall Street oiled. These commandos are working directly for the Bush drug cartel in carrying out hits on rival drug smugglers who aren't paying their cut. Witnesses and innocent police, DEA and FBI agents are also being murdered. Here is the partial transcript from the show.

Color me naive if you like, but I really have difficulty in believing all that. When I see something like, "...wheels of Wall Street...," my BS detector redlines.
