I wish they would make a version with an external thumb safety also.

Hey Lone, I like the location you have listed there...if only it wasn't so true, I would be laughing now...:)

I have a question for you, why are people always clamoring for an external safety on these kinds of guns? I have always felt that was one of the best thing about Glocks and the like is they don't have them (I like the simplicity). If you don't want to shoot the gun, my feeling is finger should be off the trigger. Just curious to get your take since you clearly like them.

I totally agree with you that if you keep your finger off the trigger your gun will not fire. But, I would also remind you that if you never get in a wreck, you will never need your seat belt.

Seat belts help minimize risk from man-made error. Same with an external thumb safety.

I frequently carry a Glock 19, and do not consider it unsafe just like it is. But a thumb safety would add an extra layer of protection in the event I do something stupid. If the gun is ever taken away from me by an adversary, it is one more thing he must know how to do before he can shoot me with it.

It would also make the manual of arms more similar to the 1911, which I carry when I am not carrying a Glock.

Ideally, what would be nice is if they made an external safety with an easily removable thumb lever, so if you didnt want it, you could take it off and not have to worry with it at all.

That's cool. But it's certainly not going to have me rushing out to sell my old Glocks to get new adjustable ones. However it will help them compete with other brands better.

This is definately cooler than their new textured glock 22. Whoopty freakn do.
