Does any other manufacturer come close to this many different caliber offerings? I was looking at their website tonight and was impressed. And yes 45 gap is still a caliber…….

Smith and Wesson makes guns in a ton of caliber's. Granted, not all are auto loaders, and a couple are rifles, but still.

As mentioned above, I suspect any company that offers semi-autos and revolver options, has more caliber options than Glock.
Ok y’all got me with S&W. I was just thinking auto loading pistols. I am not even a Glock fanboy. I am just amazed how many semi auto pistol company’s make just 9mm these days. With a few exceptions of course.

Colt has at least one more offering, if not in new guns, then in their historically long line of JMB-inspired semiautos.

Both Ruger and S&W offer the same number of semi auto pistol calibers as Glock.

I find it interesting that Sig Sauer discontinued their .357 sig guns. I couldn’t find a .40 S&W in Ruger’s website unless it was their carbine. This all started for me when I was looking at other calibers last night. Other than 9mm for general use and carry. 9mm is great, I was just looking to diversify. I still stand by my assertion that Glock has a good caliber lineup with all their different sizes of pistols.

It's easy for Glock. Genius of mass production.!! Which keeps quality near perfect (no I do not even like them but they are bullet proof)
All the parts are the same, just expand or shrink them a little for each caliber. Come out with
new generations" every year by changing finger groves, texture or something minor. Just keep cranking them out!
:):)

Other companies try to have so many different models they get hung up in production

Neither offer .45 GAP at the minimum. But don’t think either offer .357 Sig either.
Non selling products, but hey SW has a 30 super carry!:)

I guess some folks get excited about 357 Sig but don't think I ever saw a 45Gap??

Hey aren't we missing .30 Super Carry from the list?
Yes, but does anyone think it is gonna be a hot seller?? Ruger has a pistol and carbine.

I don not understand Ruger getting into the 5.7?? Such an expensive caliber and a very tricky to reload.
I sold my FN 5.7 with a half case of ammo that I got for a real deal a long time ago, Just never liked the gun. Trigger sucked and there was no way to make it better, I can punch holes for a lot less. If I could carry such a large gun, it would be something else.

Look, I’ve acknowledged that Glock is my bread and butter firearm. Other than a pocket .380 Ruger, it is all I carry. There are Glocks hidden in several locations around my home. I don’t buy “Perfection” for a second….since I usually swap sights and mag and slide release levers on most of them. My motto for Glock is simply “Reliability”, because they are have been boringly reliable performers for me. Most of my Glocks are 9MM (by far).

The thing I like the most about the caliber diverse Glock lineup is the fact they they are pretty much all the same design, use many interchangeable parts, and do have a good caliber selection. I’m neither a .357 Sig nor a .45 GAP guy, but some are. But I can easily strip any Glock down to tiny bits, and not stress about putting it back together.

Just my $0.02

No argument from me on the rarity of .45 GAP these days but they are out there.

.357 Sig…isn’t that kinda like .38 Super in a 1911? Always been a niche round too?

I've seen issued 357 sig. Several departments. I never saw a 45 GAP outside of a gun store. Lol

But the 5.7 ammo wasn't expensive. When I bought my first one (gen 2 around 2005 or so) ammo was under 20 bucks for 50. Making it pretty close to 9mm and cheaper than most of the others. Was a great varmint gun inline with 22 mag...but with far superior vmax bullets. You could buy it all day from sportsman's guide or cabelas for 19 a box back when only FN sold the ammo. Now that a few others sell the ammo, it's higher. Lol. Very odd.

At the stupid prices nowdays, over a dollar a round, I agree 100%

You forgot 9X21.

How many calibers does Glock offer in their Gen 5 lineup?

9MM, .40, and .22 thus far.
They did away with the Gen 4's right, so I assume all the other caliber are Gen 3's? It will be interesting to see how many calibers they eventually port over to Gen 5's, and how many they eventually discontinue.
