Check the Carter's country ad (I see you are from Houston). They have a P95 for $300 this week. I don't know if you can do much better than that. I like my P89 a lot, 100% reliable. I don't know anything about the FN.

+4 on CZ. You won't be disappointed with a CZ-75B. It may run a little more than $400 (like $450 or so), but so very worth it. :)

Depends On Its Intended Use

Probably, the best value (and coolest) 9m/m on the U.S. market right now,
would be the single-stack Kahr CW-9~! I bought one NIB for $300, and find
myself toting it quite often when dressed in shorts and a T-shirt; which is
almost all of the time~! ;):D

I would have to go with the Taurus 24/7 series. The 9mm holds 17+1, they are very ergonomic and comfortable to shoot, plus they have generally earned a good reputation.

I am thinking of getting a FN FNP9 new for $350, not including shipping and FFL fee. It comes with (3) 16-round magazines. I consider that a pretty good deal.

I don't think you can top that one. They're nice guns. I probably overpaid a little for mine, but I really like the features and the fact that they pack it with 3 mags. BTW, if you want more mags, they're about $40 each (much like S&W, Sig, & H&K factory mags).

Other than that, a refurb G19 or G17.

CZs are nice, but I rarely seen them for under $400 these days. Occasionally, I might see one for right at that at a gunshow.
