Gimmicky with jack-of-all-trades / master-of-none caliber/grip exchanges. Horrible trigger IMHO. I think many of the initial reliability problems that were experienced by so many have been rectified by Sig but the first two points still weigh in my personal opinion. I like Sig... a lot. My 266 and 228 are both dreams to shoot. If you spend any time on the Sig forum, you'll see the P250 as a bit of a stepchild and the 2022 considered an affordable but great gun.
FYI - The Sig 250 was disqualified from the competition:
11 of the 20 test shooters experienced stoppages with Sig Sauer's handguns--in some cases, as many as 10 stoppages.
Still, only my opinion. I would put $20 on the average shooter being happier with the 2022 than the 250 if they had the chance to choose either and spend some time shooting.
Try a SIG P250 they are the sweetest DAO hi-cap guns made. They also are modular and caliber changes between 9mm, .40sw, .357sig, and .45acp with just a new top end kit and a polymer frame module. They are state of the art from SIG for under $400.
This is a Bersa Thunder 9 UC Pro. I have one of these and I love it. Small and light enough to carry or use as my truck gun. Almost a thousand rounds and not a hiccup of any kind with any kind of ammo.
Or you try the Ruger SR9 or SR40. The 9 link below
I was leary of Polymer and striker fired weapons but, in over 500 rounds, once again, not a hiccup of any kind and it is the most comfortable weapon I've ever owned.
