What kind of issues did they have?
The article linked to another article that said a bunch of downtown Montgomery stores have closed recently. I stopped in Montgomery a few months ago to try to get some food at a Popeye's. There were a bunch of lard-a$$es sitting in there, too lazy to even get up and take our order. We stood there for a few minutes and finally left. If that's the quality of labor force that Dick's had to work with in Montgomery, AL, maybe they gave up.What kind of issues did they have?
I'd heard they really gouged folks on ammo during the shortage!
they had a good stock of guns
Ditto. Besides guns and ammo I used to buy $$$$$ of saltwater fishing stuff there. Good riddance!Really? Dick's is Anti modern sporting rifle. They declared ARs "weapons of war", broke their contracts with AR manufacturers, removed all Evil Black Rifles from inventory, and actively worked to get an "Assault Rifle Ban" imposed across the country.
My family and I have not done any business with them since.
Shame. I wonder how many stores they would have saved from closing if they still sold firearms? Oh well. Plenty of other places picked up their slack and see profits from keeping guns on the shelf.
Go woke, go broke.
They can keep 'em.Some Dick's stores still have guns and ammo

I use to shop at Dick’s until they didn’t care about there shooters and wanted more Soccer moms (nothing wrong with that, but SM’s are all online shopping)

I used to like dicks years ago, they were oe of my bassmasters sponsors in 2002-2004 and were good to work with. My buddy was a manager and got some good deals on guns and other stuff but have bought a thing from then since 2012 maybe.they started the whole thing, then Walmart, then everyone else
