Got mine from gungripguys ( off ebay ). They sell a lot there. As grips go, very inexpensive. Just ask before shipping and they will cut for the ambi safety, no extra cost. I like mine.
You can get any Government Ambi cut grips for your PT1911 you want. The world is your oyster. You may need to pick up a new set of grip screws. The PT1911's are a little oversized. These kimber warrier knock offs look pretty good on mine!
I have Guy Hogue "Ebony" ( synthetic black ) with
Palm Swell. THe Palm Swell has the
grip get thicker just below where the RH
Thumb rests parallel with th magazine release
then tapers to normal width as it reaches
the lower grip screw. I like the way it fills the
RH palm but I have long fingers I like the
Black on Stainless look. I also have a set of
rosewood from Guy Hogue for the blued 1911
which is at the top of my I Want list.
www.gungrips.net can provide you with several types of great grips. On their Alumagrips (I have 3 sets) they will engrave just about anything you could want. They also engrave some of their other grips.
