Gun Store Incident - Some people are just WEIRD!

A few years ago here in Denver, a woman asked to see a .38 revolver in a pawn shop, then loaded it and shot herself on the spot.
My local range had a woman who did something similar a few years ago.

She rented a Glock 19 and went to the lane closest to the wall. She fired 49 rounds downrange, then put the gun to her head and fired round number 50.

Working at these places teaches you a different sort of vigilance. We'd occasionally get calls from concerned parents/spouses/friends warning us that someone "off their meds" might be coming in. Managed to head a couple of those off at the pass, but I don't know if we prevented their suicide in the long term.

You can be fairly well assured none of the major networks will pick it up as a sitcom, 'cause it probably won't last a full season ...

Clearly not a straw purchase - last thing on earth you would do is raise a red flag by saying something that stupid if you really want a gun.

Well... She might just really be that stupid.

Perhaps we can police ourselves.
A few of us were talking about this today, and we realized that, in most of the sales we terminated, we did so before the 4473 even came out.

Actually, I think "Gun Shop Confessions" would be a really bad idea for a TV show. They'd want to focus on the drama, and that means the bad side of the gun culture gets most of the exposure.
