Right on. Everyone else who achieved anything did it on their own, so it's hard to respect someone whose parents helped.
Well, some people have parents that help, and then some people have parents whose friends install them on corporate boards where they do nothing but tell dirty jokes. Some people have parents who give them their first cars, and some people have parents that bump them to the head of a very long line to get into the Texas Air National Guard.
Many politicians come from privileged backgrounds, but the vast majority have had to work very hard to get where they are regardless. Bush has shown a pattern of drug abuse, laziness and poor impulse control, flying off the handle when criticized in the slightest. Someone with those tendencies does not naturally succeed in politics, or even as a Wal-Mart greeter.
